Doesn't have the legs for it but most importantly he's inherently 'selfish'.. I say that with inverted commas as that mentality has done very well for him as a wide forward but the opposite of what is needed for F9.
More chance of Sbozo being a fit there. Physique, legs (hairy), passing, vision, finishing.
The same Salah that is going to have double figures worth of assists in the league alone in five of the past six seasons for us and who also has been one of our best creators of chances over those six seasons?
He might be driven when it comes to trying to take chances himself, but he has also been one of our best creators of chances and goals too.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I had a couple of bottles watching the match. Lovely stuff!
I did, fella.
Got some Con's cider, a few bottles of their homemade Lemony lemonade (which I get a kick out of referring to as Sodee Pop), some cider vinegar for salads/cooking and some eating apples.
Then got two tarts (one apple and one rubarb) for my Ukrainians for when I got back to Cork.
Heather and Michelle went a bit mad and stocked up on various bottled fruit juices, apple crisps, tarts, cakes, fruit and feck knows what else. All I saw was boxes of lovely smelling fresh stuff coming out and getting shoved into the boots of my car and Michelle's car.
Feck knows why Michelle bought so much as she is back in Liverpool by now. Guessing it was left at her mother's house or sister's house
Is a great spot though. Lots and lots of fruit and veggie stuff grown on site and really good prices.
The cider is to die for though. Lovely crisp taste, no added sugars, no added perservatives, perfect colour and those slightly chunky old fashioned glass bottles which are a nice fit for those of us with larger hands.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

He’s always still managed to contribute until the last month.
The worry over the last few games is he looks, perhaps for the first time ever, short of confidence. I wonder if his future is already written?
The fact that none of the other forwards ever step up with a match winning performance doesn’t help either.Modifying post.

You say that but the period he was out we were better with players taking more responsibility. What are the results when he was out compared to now with him back?Originally posted by danperkins View PostHe's carried us for such a long time and he just isn't capable of doing it anymore.

We obviously had a fit jota but we played our best football as a team without him.Originally posted by spider-neil View PostYou say that but the period he was out we were better with players taking more responsibility. What has happened to him a year ago he was still considered one of the best players in the world today you could make a case for him being the worst player on a pitch that featured an Everton XI.
It's not like it's a one off he has been anonymous for weeks, his only contributions I can remember in recent league games are a few shots poorly hit, almost nothing in build up or creating chances for others. It's like he's been replaced by a look a like.
The guy is a legend and I don't like having a pop but his form in recent weeks really has been awful. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
