Slot deserves so much credit for his flexibility. Like it’s been said a lot recently too many managers now are stuck on one way and one way only. As much as I want to see the team go and attack and play entertaining football these games give me so much joy.

He has been like that for a while. Without the goals and assists, his all round game isnt good. But the bottom line is he is getting a tremendous amount of both.

Question is do we give him a mega contract and then structure our game around him in his waning years?

I feel the answer might depend upon who is available as a replacement.

I feel like every penny counts at the moment. Our huge loss from the previous season shows we have to play this smart. A new left and right back will be needed, plus a centreback if we are sensible. An additional DM if we are honest, and probably another striker if we can offload Numez. I dont see us doing all of that though.

And that not to take anything away from Mo. He hasnt got the legs, but he is still producing match winning performances.

Its interesting the number of penalties he has scored this season. Probably the same as all the previous combined. No idea why we are suddenly so popular with the refs?

In 29 league games, there has only been 3 games where he hasn't produced either a goal or an assist. His all round game isn't what it used to be for sure & he isn't as quick but he has been absolutely ruthless in front of goal and his passing is and has always been so under rated. 27 goals & 17 Assists in the league alone/ 32 Goals & 22 Assists in app comps. Outrageous stuff.

If Suarez didn't come with his biteyness, both were 24 years old, and both were Liverpool players until they retire (say 34), I'd have Suarez. He's was absolutely magnificent for Liverpool and Barca, he would have been devestating in a Klopp team.
