…well, except for last season. He carried us at the point when we ran away with the league. What it shows is how much we rely on his goals and assists - someone else needs to show up.

He needs to earn his spot now tho not just play because of what he has achieved.

He’s been awful but not helped with a change in system and players.

Zero chemistry between him and Isak at the moment. No fullback supporting him like previous seasons.

And in all that his touch has been off, his shooting off and pretty much everything else too.

I think he is the problem for the new players, more than the other way round. Everyone else has to do his defensive duties which ultimately leads to us struggling for bodies in midfield. At the other end, he's offering basically nothing.

Do you feel at all good about calling this before he resigned? 'I told you so' should provide at least a little bit of satisfaction, but I just can't find it.

No i don't. He won us a league last year and he should have walked away like a hero. This is like having a much loved pet that's ill and in pain, you know what needs to be done but it hurts like hell.

He’s an absolutely legend who has done so much for the club and I don’t know if it’s the way the team is playing or he’s dropped off big time, probably a bit of both but Frimpong did more when he came on and looked dangerous. He has so much pace which is an area the team lacks and can beat a defender and gets a good cross in.

As much as I want him to do well and I understand keeping him on the pitch for as long as possible as he has produced the goods when needed so many times you need to be ruthless at the top and make some tough decisions and right now other players need to be starting ahead of him.

We need someone who can keep and use the ball better. Salah is great at the worldy goal and assists but proving piss poor at the basics which is costing us time and again.

Chiesa was on 5 mins and set Gakpo up. Salah would have shot or ****ed the pass up. He needs to be dropped.

He was their best defender today. Two games in a row he get in the way of a cast iron chance while trying to make the headlines himself

HE is physically shot at this level. He is no longer an elite level athlete.

But he still had a great touch.

His touch has left him so we currently have a player that brings nothing to the team.

Perhaps against tired legs, but he is a luxury that we cannot afford to indulge when the entire team is looking unsettled.

Slot needs to decide on the system he want, and then pick the best players to fit that system. Frimpong showed more in 10 minutes than Salah the whole game, and Cheisa got another goal contribution.

Ekitike is showing far more than Isak. We were a different team when he came on. Our form has collapsed since Isak came into the team.

Slot has to stop picking players on rpicetag and reputation

Taking him saves £20m a year in wages alone, I wouldn't care if there was no transfer fee as he's repaid his initial transfer multiple times. He may now realise too that his body is best employed in the Saudi League, could he his last chance before retirement

I can understand why the club wanted to keep him with the amount of changes that were going to happen and the fact he was still contributing lots of goals/assists.

But it seems to have spectacularly backfired and he seems to be contributing barely anything in attack coupled with nothing defensively. With hindsight being a wonderful thing - perhaps if we had settled on buying Ekitike and spent the Isak money on a top notch right sided player we would be a lot better off.

Having said that I'm by no means writing Isak off by the way as there is still plenty of time for him to come good, the problem being we are saying that for too many players currently.
