January transfer window opens 1st jan until 2nd Feb.

Salah turning up at Anfield will be very awkward.
Many fans singing his name will create a further rift and pressure on management and destabilise the rest of the team...
Maybe some fans will turn against him and call him a judas, who knows.
Maybe best for the club to tell him to stay away???
He can go to afcon and sort his move out away from the cameras.
Let's hope he doesn't get an injury that prevents a move as his position at the club has become untenable. He may even blag an injury to further screw the club as a fee.

He addressed that in his interview.

Said he has family coming over from Eygpt for that game so that whether he plays or not he can say his goodbyes to the fans before he goes to the AFCON. Think he might have said something about wanting his family to hear his name being sung too.

It was yet another part of his interview that I thought was very staged and deliberate in what was being said.

Only part of the interview I liked was his little pop at Carragher.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I've never warmed to mo salah. I appreciate what he's done. I just never really liked him. We would have won more if he passed to mane more in the early days. We all saw how selfish he was on the pitch. The assists get thrown about, a good number of those weren't intentional passes. The last few years as his ability to beat a man got harder and since mane left, he has been more creative. Some amazing assists with the outside of his foot. He's a club legend and rightly so. But I've been consistent in my view that he would never make my all time liverpool 11. It's always been the mo salah show and we have benefitted hugely. However the line has been crossed and he needs to be booted out now. I wouldn't let him back in the building.

Team will be interesting on Tues. If he's not in the squad, then he's gone. If he starts, they've patched it up and Mo has won. If he's on the bench and gets on, they've patched it up and the manager won. If he's on the bench and doesn't get on, they've not patched it up. My take, anyway.
          Really?

One thing for sure is that Salah can't dictate the narrative. He'll be told to tone it down and that hell be rewarded. If he releases more statements then he'll not be included in the squad, the family stuff is him trying to pull the emotional strings

It does help to read all his comments, as apparently the manager did speak to him about being on the bench, which in my mind at least confirms he is being treated respectfully. Surely the manager must have explained why he is on the bench; Mo clearly doesn't accept the reason, which to my mind must be the defensive destabilisation when he does play and insufficient end product up top.

That's my take. The Salah to Saudi articles started up again a couple of days ago. If we are to make a couple of signings in January , (Guehi and Semenyo?) a bit of cash and his wages off the bill make it possible.

If you listen to how Salah worded things, he talks about the relationship with the manager suddenly going from good to non-existent, then immediately mentions that “someone” wants him out. It comes across like he feels he’s being thrown under the bus.

The talk going around is that he might actually be referring to Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes. The suggestion is that they could be preparing to move him on in January because he no longer hits the statistical benchmarks that justify his wages.

Is Salah implying that they have told Slot to bench him and reduce his minutes so they can justify offloading him?

If this was true, although maybe correct, I’m not sure how I’d feel about them interfering in team selections.
This is great news IF true; with Edwards/Hughes involved it will show that we aren't going to be dicked around by a massive ego. and they will be smarting from the fact they gave in to his financial demands in the summer, only to repaid with this **** sandwich.

Sad end but I that self belief has made him probably the greatest premier league player of all time, unfortunately also doesn't let him see that his body just won't let him do it anymore. The guy was absolutely incredible for us though.
