      Who's foot was higher, Mane's or Bellerin's?

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

          That stings.

But I think many of us expected to see a few results this season where we were on the receiving end in a bad way.

How we play pretty much means we either go at you and put any team in trouble when we are on form, or when a few things go aganst us we get shredded.

Thankfully we are and will be good enough to ensure that days like today are the exception rather than the rule.

And while this is easy to say now, it is a damn shame we did not get in the extra quality we badly needed in midfield and in defence during the summer. On our bad days in recents seasons we get ripped through the centre quite easily and today was another one of those days.

****ty result, lots of ****ty performances, but is just one game. This loss is about as season defining as the big win against Arsenal was. And in some ways Klopp will learn far more from games like this than from games in which we overwhelm the other team.

Tough game coming up on Wednesday, and a chance to lay a few ghosts from this game to rest.

I think we would have always got beaten today, but I think there were three factors that did for us that we created ourselves. Long passes from the goalie created at least one goal, the sending off, which was unlucky and our less than clinical finishing. But City were good which is why I don't think we would have won anyway. The scoreline doesn't really matter so long as Mane doesn't get a longer retrospective ban and it doesn't affect the morale of the players too much.

Oh and Chris - evidence where I or any of the other posters have 'been waiting for a defeat'.
            Really?

This weekend will only be manageable if Utd don't get all three points. Insufferable cunts.

Any other player got a red card today and we wouldn't have played that bad. Just shows how key Mane is.

Wijnaldum a solid 2/10, MIA. Was like we had an extra man down.

                Credit to City, ruthless.

                Deflated to say the least.

The points were gone on 37 minutes but it didn't have to be 5-0. 4 sloppy goals that CBs could and should have dealt with.

We were obviously already 1 - 0 down when Mane was sent off so we already had a lot to do. Such lapses in concentration and no sight of these being eradicated is really frustrating though. We had them on the back foot for the first 15 mins.

I've supported Winaljdum recently but that was unacceptable. Same could be said for everyone bar Moreno, matip and Mignolet (the 3Ms)

I just have to give a special shout out to Klavan too. He's not good enough (not just basing that off this game)

Not sure why would we single out individuals? The whole team let us down, not just a few. The whole ****ing lot.
