I think we would have always got beaten today, but I think there were three factors that did for us that we created ourselves. Long passes from the goalie created at least one goal, the sending off, which was unlucky and our less than clinical finishing. But City were good which is why I don't think we would have won anyway. The scoreline doesn't really matter so long as Mane doesn't get a longer retrospective ban and it doesn't affect the morale of the players too much.

Oh and Chris - evidence where I or any of the other posters have 'been waiting for a defeat'.

I expected a win.

Despite their goal, City were poor until mane's red.

At 1-0 down I expected us to come back. We were opening them up far more than them us.

Mignolet did not let anyone down today. Might seem odd to say that of a keeper who let in five, but much as Cech did against us, Mignolet kept it down to what the game finished at.

Unlucky to go down to 10 men against a team you really do not want to go down to 10 men and then got done. Really it happens ... and even though the lads got totally out played ..
