Is Lovern injured? Not a big fan but we kept a clean sheet against Arsenal and he changed him out for Klavan.

Despite their goal, City were poor until mane's red.

At 1-0 down I expected us to come back. We were opening them up far more than them us.

Wank game and can't believe we lose Mane for three games for that.
So did I before the game. I thought City's finishing was excellent which is why I made the point.
          Really?

I don't think anyone would have batted an eyelid if the keeper had been a foot further away, or if the keeper hadn't stooped to try and head the ball

Yeh, I agree but not sure why Mane didn't try to head the ball as well.

Just unfortunate all round and it killed the game as a spectacle (well for us anyway)

Hopefully Lovren plays next game. As much as I am not a fan he and Matip are our best CB pairing.
He should have been aware that the keeper was coming head on and stopped I think. But yeah, he was entitled to go for the ball but I cannot see how this wasn't a straight red to be fair. Réf did what he had to do unfortunately.

How come the same doesn't apply to the keeper? If Mane hadn't gone for the ball with his foot there's a good chance that the keeper would have nutted him at full speed, a far more dangerous situation. Two players bombing towards each other is dangerous, no escaping that. Being the one that comes off worse doesn't make someone an innocent party, just one of those things.

Can you imagine the damage that that could have caused to one or both of them.

                      Wasn't a red.

Still letting in goals like we did was shocking, completely gave up. Klavan should be nowhere near that team.

Keeper had his head on ball before Mane got to it. So as a precaution, judging that he could harm him badly if it hits him in the head, he should have held off tbh. But on the same token, it's a competitive sport so he was entitled to go for it. It was an unlucky red but no chance of an appeal I'm afraid.

The keeper just wants to clear it, he doesn't care where it goes and therefore give it full force using the easiest thing to connect with - his head.

Mane needs to control it in order to score, so he uses his foot.

It was an unlucky situation and I think there should be a sinbin rule for these moments.

Klopp has said there won't be an appeal.

He is such good value win, lose or draw.

Suppose you are right. I agree that just because some-one gets injured doesn't make it a red card. Just thought that Mane was inviting a card with his foot that high. Anyway, agree with the general sentiment that our collapse was disappointing, but it is only three points at this stage. Genuinely hope it doesn't affect morale too much as without the sending off there is no way the score would have been 5-0.
