First away loss since ****ing February. I reckon they'd have done us today whatever, but that red was absolute ****. You could see it in the fat cunts face after he made the call that he regretted it. Rush of blood.

Did anyone notice Klopp getting annoyed when the ref team didn't shake his hand at the end of the game? Boy did he glower them down.

Said the same to my lad. Played Arsenal and City already, United have played nobody and we're only 3 back. No problem. Though the manner of today's collapse is a major worry, it's mitigated by being down to ten men. We were ****ing all over them until the red (albeit 1 down against the run of play).

No, but Stoke 6-2 was worse, and in very living memory.

Obviously we had the Stoke (STOKE) 6-1 under Brendan, but 5-0 ffs. I watched it with my lad who is 8, eager as ****. He's been into football/LFC for 9 months and he's already seen us get done 5-0. **** off.
i saw us get done 5-1 by coventry in the 90`s and they hadnt won for months and ****ing mick quinn scored a couple now that`s grim

I thought we capitulated in the second half today though. We changed the system and managed to control City for a bit, but then we collapsed and it could have ended up a cricket score. At 2-0 down and with ten men, we should have at least made it more difficult for City but we didn't. They had a ****ing walk in the park. It's imperative we sort ourselves out for the next two games though or the aftertaste of this would be felt much longer than it should. Klopp needs to ****ing sort out the management side of our game and quick. The same mistakes keep happening in the transition part of our game. As soon as we lose the ball in promising situations, we leave ourselves open every ****ing time.
                        Are we winning?

Results haven't been terrible by any means, but the goals we have conceded against Watford and today have been nothing short of atrocious. Four of today's goals had little to do with the extra man (although that obviously let them create more pressure/chances) . The straight ball from the centre circle to the striker in space on the edge of the box is inexcusable and they scores 3 goals from it. Our defending is a mill stone around our neck and we're expected to challenge in the PL and CL carrying it; it's hard to see it.

                            We'll be fine.

The subs said it all today.

We've lost this - Take it and rest some players.

dropping the 2 points to watford in the last minute was annoying, and today after the red was embarrassing but still 3 points back with 34 games to go.

No team in the league looks like running away with it, all the top sides have flaws plus euro footie this season to contend with, still think we have a pretty decent squad,Options on the bench, players left out the squad. just missing the top class CB.

City have gone into the season with 7 defenders, Kompany injured already, their 3 full backs started today alongside Stones/Otmendi with Mangela their only reserve defender , 2 games a week should punish them

Really need 7 points from the next 3 winnable games, and then its the mancs at home, city playing chelsea in that time as well.

Champions league proper back at Anfield on Wednesday n all

I missed the game this afternoon as I had to go out, heard the score and decided not to watch the full match.

The red card is a tough call, you look at the challenge and I think that it is hard to argue that it wasn't dangerous play. There was no intent there to injure the GK, but that doesn't matter, the fact is his foot was high, his studs were up and he catches the GK in the face. I don't like judging the challenge by how injured the player is, but I think that the problem is a lack of consistency in terms of how often high feet and dangerous play are called, (in fairness with the way the rules are at the moment the referee should call it more often and there should be more yellow cards for it, but it only seems that only the big calls are made and reds are given). Mane has to go for the ball in that situation, so I am not sure what you say to him. We are talking about fractions of a second, the keeper got there a fraction of second before Mane it could easily have been the other way around.

The other thing to note is that our defending was terrible, defensively we were carved open and the midfield did little to help the situation, it is easy to use the red card as an excuse but there were alot of schoolboy errors which need addressing, while I doubt it would have made a difference to the outcome (although it may have reduced the score) not strengthening the defence in the window was madness, I don't really understand why Klavan was brought in for Lovren but he looked a liability.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
