Seems to be recovering well after his horrific ordeal.
    Never knowingly optimistic

****ing scandalous we didn't get a CB in or two CB's tbh, I don't trust Klavan or Lovren, Moreno is ****e and Matip isn't much better either. And don't get me started on Mignolet, the entire backline needs ousting they're all ****e and Klopp has to take some responsibility for that.

harry maguire would of cost about 15 million at the start of the window and that would of been an upgrade on what we have
Oh I say his vision there was lovely

I am pretty sure there is no mention of "intent" in the rules for fouls.

But if you look at the rules for direct free kicks, which man city got, and the challenge appears to fall into the reckless category, then it suggests that it is a cautionary offense.

Good to see the refs have already managed to undermine themselves by giving Ritchie yellow from the same challenge.

Dare I say it, but it was great we had so many **** ups in one game, especially a game where we could expect not to get a result anyway.

                - TAA having a nightmare against Mendy
                - Team not dealing with situation when going behind
                - Sadio sent off
                - Lovren not being fit meaning Klavan started and was poor
                - Cout unavailable

Hopefully means we can learn from them/avoid them later in the year. Rather them all in one cluster **** then spread out over a number of games costing us points multiple times.

Klopp has shown he can adapt and use things like this as a learning experience. We were due a tonking from one of the teams we always wipe the floor with. Just glad now its out the way and all we need to do now is win the League.

I have a feeling the players will have been roasted by Klopp this morning and will come out firing vs Sevilla.

I have an issue with Henderson being our captain.... he is not a leader in my opinion... goes missing when it gets tough or just starts launching long balls

Saying that though... I am struggling to see any leaders in our team at all.

                        ****ing hell

It's just one defeat. We had plenty of leaders when we beat Hoffenheim away (a team undefeated at home for over a year) when we in turn beat took them apart at home I didn't see anyone bemoaning lack of leadership and when we took Arsenal apart nobody was moaning.

It's first away defeat since Feb. Our first defeat against a top six team in, what, 2 years. We typically get results in big games, which suggests we do alright for leaders.

This is not specifically at you Havors, but there is a fair amount of over reaction on here (why am I surprised!!!).

But people are talking about long standing issues that they perceive and believe will hold us back, it's pretty natural that these cone to the surface when evident and don't when they are not. I think havors is talking about how things go in the face of adversity (and a lack of inspiration on the pitch), so examples where everything went to plan aren't really relevant. I think he's right.

I don't sense doom and gloom over one defeat, just people highlighting weaknesses, which we and everyone else inevitably have.

Yeah, and I disagree that we lack Leaders

The defensive issues are longstanding I agree with those, but the rest of the complaints are based on one game where we were playing with 10 having started really well.

We got caught not knowing what to do in the game situation on Saturday. 2-0 down away at half time with ten men. And we paid the price. All of a sudden our midfield is samey and **** and we lack leaders.

They're not, there have been concerns about our captaincy voiced here for quite some time. Him being cucked by balotelli was one example that caused similar discussion. A game we actually won. The need to bring in some strength and leadership into midfield has come up as a theme in transfer window threads since Gerrard was on his way out.

That was very early on in his captaincy though. Personally I think Henderson is a decent player and captain.

Gerrard had Carra doing all the shouting and bollocking for him, he had teams with Alonso, Suarez, Mascherano, Agger, Torres, Reina...

I think we are still a developing team, a work in progress and I don't think we are bbottlers. Sort out the defence and I suspect the rest will fall into place.
