Well Firmino came on for Phil after 88 mins. I think we can safely say that Phil won't be starting but out of form Firmino will.
With Sadio being out i'm not sure we can solely rely on Salah for creativity..... think Couthino will have to start...undermines how damaging these injuries are.

Bar the Leicester match after the first international break, Coutinho started every match after for the rest. The Everton match in March was a 12:30 Saturday KO after a Wednesday game like this and he scored 1 and assisted 1 in that match.
Unrelated but the United home match last year was at the same point as this one, second weekend in October after IB, although it was a Monday night. Considering we don't seem to be that great after international breaks, I wonder now how much our inability to break United down was down to that factor, as much as Mourino's 'masterclass'. No excuse obviously, United had players away too, but considering our style of play, the players need to be on their A-game for it to work, which they very rarely are when they come back from internationals.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

With our current side yes he surely has to start but lot of games to play in such a short space of time, especially for a guy who is late into developing match sharpness after the summer shenanigans.

We really need him to start but him playing nearly 70 mins in first game and 87 mins in an irrelevant game last night is really not ideal. At least Firmino got a rest.

It's far from ideal, but he basically had two summer breaks if you include his August holiday and hasn't played that much competitive football this year, so he should be fine.
More annoyed that Valencia was suspended last night so got a bit of a rest, although at least he still travelled.

Notsure which I'd prefer more, stuffing them 4 or 5 nil, or getting hammered by them only to fluke a last minute winner completely against the run of play, thanks to a dodgy official decision.
Think I'd prefer the latter, but I suppose the former would be better for the team going forward.

I suppose it's just bad timing, typical really as this game is massive for us. I'm hoping he starts, we really need him to start to be honest.
