Tottenham Hotspur Build up & Match Thread (a)

    Sunday match innit.

Both teams played on Tuesday so no advantage to either side.

No new injuries to us so that’s a plus.

The last 2 matches Klopp’s subbed the front 3 & kept the starting midfield for the full 90minutes.

I’d like to see the same side that demolished Maribor & my question is, how knackered would the players be after a match like that when we dominated possession 70-30? I’d suspect they’d be more than capable of backing up.

Same X1 with just Mig in for Karius for me.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Henderson and Mig will definitely be recalled and I think Gomez will come back in too.

Very hard match to call. We've a good recent record against Spurs, there is no real home advantage, both teams have been patchy this season and both will be on a high after midweek results.

If it was 0-0 or 1-1, I wouldn't be surprised. Likewise I could also see a 4-4 or a 4-3 to either side.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

So Hendo to start is what your saying then is it?

I reckon we'll lose this one, but I've been wondering, could it be that we play better and maybe are more compact if we play only one of Salah/Mane? Having Coutinho on the left helps us keep the ball and we still have the pace in Salah.
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I'm of the opposite view. We have finally awoken in front of goal and even without Mane our pace is frightening. Spurs brand of football is exactly what we need right now. Alli is playing crap and no one else bar Kane and maybe Erikson are of any threat.

                4-1 to us.

I agree that we will benefit from their attacking intent. We just need to defend well.

Tough one to call this. I would like to think we will benefit from Spurs having such a tough game during the week and playing all their best (apart from Ali) for the 90 mins whilst we cruised after the first 20 mins and could take players off early.

I would take a point from this one but we really need those 3 points. Lottery which Liverpool side show up on the day to be honest. Such a pity we don't have Mane as he would give Aurier a real roasting.

can and ali both throwing digs at each other, cant end 11 v 11.

its good that spurs dont park the bus but can also defend a bit too...

is this at wembley, a nice big pitch to play on, but suits both teams.
                      a close 2-2

Our demolishing of Spurs at the the Lane kick started our title challenge in '13. Would love another performance and result like that.
