I'd agree there. There seems to be little point in sticking with Lovren especially and Mignolet long term. Ward is the same age to the day as Karius - what is the point in not giving him a chance - Mignolet adds nothing so we wouldn't be missing his experience or presence if he was dropped.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostBit of a watershed moment here I reckon. I cant recall us losing games in manner too often.
Some big decisions need to be made. I hope thats the last we see of Lovren, Id rather stick with Gomez, and at least see how he gets on. Mignolet... He just does this too often. All four goals were defensively catastrophic. Karius is next in line for Klopp, but I wouldnt mind seeing Ward in goal.
How we respond is probably going to have a big say in how our season maps out.
Lovren - if he was injured today, that display was all on Klopp. He's limited enough without handicapping him further by playing him against the best striker in the league with an injury. I'd argue we would have been better off keeping Skrtel than Lovren.

Looking on the bright side, he subbed Lovren early doors, so perhaps the penny has finally dropped, and he's already decided that he doesn't want Mignolet CL cup tied, so perhaps we will see some change here. But on reflection ( and mea culpa for agreeing with it ) not signing CBs who could challenge Lovren, Klavan and Gomez was an error.
I still believe the money is there and I still believe that FSG were willing to spend it, but if I were an owner I'd be having second thoughts right now. Would rather save it for the second coming of Rafa..Really?

Agree here too. Momentum seems to be against him and I can;t see anything changing. UNless we go out and spend hugely in January, but even then he'd wait until they were fully assimilated before using them.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostWe've not really found any consistency since last Christmas. Personally, I don't think he'll turn things around, I think positively and belief is a major part of his style and the longer the averageness goes on the harder it will be for him to convince the players that they have it in them.
I'm waiting for someone to play the Lallana is the key card. I hope I don;t read it.

Lovren's own point I believe (perhaps I'm wrong), is that he has been paying with injury and painkillers for quite a while (not just today). But then at the end of the previous season (not last one) he was blaming having to play in an expansive style.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostI'd agree there. We look ****e without Mane.
There are basically 2 types of goal we score without Sadio. Coutinho Worldie or Salah in behind. Mane gives teams lots more to think about.
Throw in Lallana and we have very little to worry about going forward.
We just need to stop haemorrhaging goals at the back.Modifying post.

Another worry is that two of our best players (Lallana and Mane) seem to be painfully injury prone.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostWe look ****e without Mane.
