Indeed, but that clean break approach could be inspiring if we had better quality waiting to step in, as it is it means either relying on inexperience (mainly ward and Gomez, who I like) or playing people out of position (defence obviously, not the keeper) and hoping for the best. Dropping Lovren for klavan or Mig for Karius isn't going to go well I reckon.

Yes but it is a fairly severe error of judgement, it has been obvious to fans for a while though and now it is proving costly and he needs to act. It is these types of issue that are more frustrating than signing the wrong player. At least in trying to improve things you are admitting that there is a problem. With the amount of players signed and money spent on CB and GK it seems to suggest he doesn't think that there is much of a problem, when that really should be the priority. He really needs to show signs of improving these areas in January because more games like the one and the weekend and people will start to turn on him. I don't want that to happen but if he doesn't address these clear issues soon then it is inevitable.Originally posted by el matador View PostPeople are going mad at klopp but the only thing that he’s guilty of is having too much faith in lovren and mignolet. Our defensive issues aren’t systematic or structural. All top teams push their fullbacks on - we’re not the only ones. Spurs didn’t play with a DM on Sunday but they hammered us.
Most of the issues are down to lovren and mignolet. Man City proved by replacing a **** goalie with a good one your defence improves dramatically. We need a new goalie, two Centre backs and a midfield player capable of giving some protection to the back 4. Kloppo can change this by replacing these 4 players. He’s just had far too much faith in players that have consistently let him down.
That’s he only thing he’s guilty of.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Fans could probably accept mistakes from rookies like Gomes and Ward if the long term benefit is development but basic errors from experienced internationals like mignolet and lovren is harder to swallow.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostIndeed, but that clean break approach could be inspiring if we had better quality waiting to step in, as it is it means either relying on inexperience (mainly Gomez, who I like) or playing people out of position (defence obviously, not the keeper) and hoping for the best. Gomes and Ward can learn from their mistakes. Lovren & mignolet have shown consistently that they continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. They have to go and JK should not be protecting them anymore.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

That’s his biggest mistake. Believing that lovren and mignolet can be coached into top class players. You just can’t polish turds.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostYes but it is a fairly severe error of judgement, it has been obvious to fans for a while though and now it is proving costly and he needs to act. Fair connent, but it might exacerbate the criticism of Klopp generally, he's had the chances to strengthen those positions and he's playing inexperienced youngsters there. Better than playing crap he inherited, but not great.Originally posted by el matador View PostFans could probably accept mistakes from rookies like Gomes and Ward if the long term benefit is development but basic errors from experienced internationals like mignolet and lovren is harder to swallow.

Exactly. I'm not dreading Lovren back as much as I'm dreading having to see Klavan. What a **** storm to be stuck in.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostIndeed, but that clean break approach could be inspiring if we had better quality waiting to step in, as it is it means either relying on inexperience (mainly ward and Gomez, who I like) or playing people out of position (defence obviously, not the keeper) and hoping for the best. i have stayed off the forum since the game.
what a pile of ****e. the same pile of **** i have mentioned many times before.
no point trying to highlight the issues, we all know...removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

But you can roll them in glitter.Originally posted by el matador View PostThat’s his biggest mistake. Believing that lovren and mignolet can be coached into top class players. You just can’t polish turds.
Sadly though once a turd, always a turd.
Our team is like my pro evo master league side at the end of season one. Not bad but lack of cutting edge and defence fragile.
Very quickly turned into an excellent side but signing; goalkeeper, centrebacks, striker (s).
It really isn't a lot more complex than that.
I think Klopp is in a strange position - he must see what we see and to appease fans he should really say it because if he doesn't we are all wondering what the **** is going on..and heneess us to believe in him.
But at same time he also needs players to play for him so has to play this very carefully.
Cracks are appearing though with his trainers comments... beginning of the end for someone.Last edited by BG1973; 24-10-17, 04:53 AM.

He mentioned he could have defended the first goal better in a pair of trainers than Lovren could.Originally posted by Fierce View PostWhat's this now?Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. The last part is completely true, which makes it even strange that the manager hasn't addressed it. He's either been too loyal to his players, didn't think it was as big a deal as we all do or he's been let down in the market.Vive la France
