i disagree, var has been **** in italy, stopping play to check and yet they still get a lot of decisions completely wrong.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostIts just so totally football to make hard work of video refereeing.
Just make it refs call for decisions where they arent sure, and send it upstairs for review.
It works perfectly well in Rugby (and even when there is still some doubt you realise that nothing more could be done to achieve a decision). You will reduce contentious decisions by easily 90%. It also means that even subconsciously refs are less likely to be swayed plus knowing they have this as back up will surely reassure them to putting in better performances. Look at the Bournemouth Southampton game the ref admitted he got a decision wrong at the end. That admission is of absolutely no consolation.
If anything it will add to the excitement. As the current 'they even themselves out over the season' system is ****.
goal line tech should be a standard, aswell as an independant clock manager, so to get rid of time waisting.
retrospective bans should also be more severe for cheating and violent behaviour.Jürgen Klopp

I think VAR could be good but the process needs a lot of work before I would be happy seeing it in the PL or CL. I'm glad Italy was chosen as the guinea pigs to be honest.Originally posted by SK View Posti disagree, var has been **** in italy, stopping play to check and yet they still get a lot of decisions completely wrong.

1 billion percent.Originally posted by Scratch View PostAnd none of this "if the ref saw it, it can't be retrospectively looked at (unless the offence was by an Liverpool player)" cos the ref could/will make mistakes.
It doesn't undermine the referee to review a decision he's made, human's are prone to error so he won't get everything right.
its such a blatant cop out, and ever so possibly wide open to abuse, corruption and dbf backhanders.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
