Gomez appears to have gone to sleep but where were his team mates to alert him to the oncoming Sanchez?

Migs error was schoolboy ****e. **** off. Also midfield did **** all to close him down but ultimately it was an easy save.

The third was poor midfield and defending.

We got lucky for the third don't forget!

Ming, the gormless ****ing prick was just sat there staring into oblivion. He should've been screaming at Gomez to clear it.

That was his brain contemplating it's own stupidity.

arsenal wouldn't be over running us and having shots from 30 yds if our midfielders wouldn't try and hide by playing too far up the pitch like ****ing dickheads.
they leave all the space wide open and the defence are stuck wondering whether to stick or twist. If they come out they are going to be out of position and allow them to play through the defence with ease. If they try and keep their shape we invite xaka to take a blast at ming the feeble handed ****er.

klopp will publicly stand by his team and try to make excuses but its down to him.
yes we need better midfielders and goalie but if he cant drill some sense into these simpletons to keep the middle of the pitch compact then he really isnt the great manager we are led to believe.

defence has never been klopps forte and for all our attacking flair we are still a bit **** at the back and in midfield when we need to be staying tight.
no leaders to shout the orders out, just too many nice guys out there. We need some meatheads not so many metrosexuals. No wonder we are sponsored by ****in nivea.

We need someone to manage the team on the pitch... bark orders e.g. after we score. We are so naive on times.
            Another MASSIVE game

This may be a simplistic 'rule' but I've always worked on the general principle that you typically need to score at least two goals to win a game. If you score 3 goals then the attack has done it's job and if you don't win that is down to the defence.

Obviously this doesn't take the context of the game into account, but look at the goals last night and that holds up. I don't think that it is unrealistic to say that if you score 3 goals away at Arsenal you should be expecting to win the game. I also don't think we should be saying the reason we didn't win is because we didn't score 4 or 5 away at Arsenal. Because if we need to do that then for me it is clear that there is a problem elsewhere in the team.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I don't really like the term but what we lack is game management skill/ability. After you concede the first take a minute to put your foot on the ball, slow the game down and regain your composure, and above all make sure that you don't concede another.

It's nothing new though. I said the same in the Klavan thread. When we dominate the defence looks good but that's obviously going to be the case. I also don't think our midfield is up to scratch either fwiw.

I thought Milner was muck. Far too slow to stay with their runners and, despite complaining about our game management post match, he was guilty of hoofing the ball aimlessly up field far too often and invited pressure.

it's the main issue we have in our side.

The midfield completely and utterly disappeared in that second half. It's becoming a common trend that when the going gets tough, our midfield seems to capitulate and the defence then goes into panic mode. It doesn't matter who you put in there whether it be Henderson, Can, Wini or Milner... none of them are good enough.

It shows how much Klopp's tactics and our fab four are saving our midfield and defence this season. Can is not the Can of last season and I have no idea which version of Wijnaldum has shown up either. Ox is making even more sense as I type this.

No midfielders coming through youth either. Need to buy.

that top 4 have pulled out miracles this season. I was never a big fan of Can anyways but he's even a shadow of the player he was. Wini is a squad player, as is Hendo and Milner. Ox hasn't been pulling up trees but definitely deserves his chance to show what he can do.

I would love it if we replaced the entire midfield to be honest.

                              Well that was a cluster****

From controlling the game and Arsenal having no shots to losing it in 5 minutes.

The issue for me is the whole defensive side of our team from Mig thru to the midfielders do not seem to be switched on to crucial moments in the game.

Lovren and Klavan played well so Robertson does not stop a cross and Gomez is on his heels ,

If he is meant to be a centre back surely should know to attack the ball and clear it for a corner or throw in and this changed the whole flow of the game.

They got their tails up and went for us and to be honest Arsenal can do that against teams with their attacking players.

Mig saves the shot and got to think we see another couple minutes out and get control back.
