Yeah, maximum punishment. Pickford has to play every game.

The only free agent centre-back out there who is noteworthy is Garay, and even he's returning from a cruciate ligament injury.

I don't think we'll go big in January for a centre-back. It'll probably be a short term option. Someone like Upemacano has a £36million release clause that only kicks in from the summer. Reckon the club will be looking at that as an option, but not in January.

Non-stop running and intense sprinting required to play that way though.
Would be impossible to sustain that with the fixtures being so tightly packed this season. We couldn’t even really do it consistently in 17/18, which is why we evolved our playing style.

It was great fun to watch though.

Absolutely gutted for Virgil. He must be devastated. Horrible news but we need to carry on.....maybe we'll get some credit for winning this title though.

I'm sure, if asked, every fan in the PL would take our current fit squad (returning Alisson but minus VvD) and the manager over theirs. Even probably Man City, Chelsea and Spurs. They'd be mad not to.

A devastating turning point of our season. We should have had that prick sent off and then subsequently battered them.

But obviously rather the tackle never happened at all.

The two extra points wouldn't make a huge difference for us. The shock of losing VvD is impactful on our season. Just need to get Klopp to put in extra drills on how we cover for his loss. In a way it may shake off a lot of the complacency that had crept in.

Let’s hope so, Altho it looked like the 7-2 already had.
                  3rd place. Worst champions ever.

                    Sure.

The performance was fine against Everton.

There's no spinning this. It's a massive loss. We may be OK if Matip could stay fit all season but I'd be surprised if he was fit by Christmas. Gomez is highly overrated by and large, he's awful in the air and is an obvious weakness without Virgil.

Fabinho will end up helping us out I reckon and Hendo and Thiago should be more than enough in the middle. That's the crumb of comfort.

We should be able to discount Fab as a midfielder for the season. Midfield is well stocked with Hendo, Thiago, Gini, Nabi, Milner, Jones, Ox.

The reason is because some cunt thought he could go through your legs.

Two things. He calls it "the incident". Whilst not building it up he's making no attempt to play it down. Also, zero mention of Pickford.

I'd say he's ****ing raging. The return at Anfield will be naughty as ****.
