Didn't he have a similar injury before, albeit less serious? Not 100% sure you lose a yard of pace specifically due to the injury though but I know nothing.

So worse grade of ACL injury and operation, no one has mentioned how long he'll be out but it's looking like he's done for the season right?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I would say he's done for the season but seems the club are hopeful due to his injury record and strong nature that he can recover quickly, but I'd rather he recovers fully than having any timescale on his return. It's a career threatening injury and players have noticeably found it difficult to return at their level after - looking at Laporte for example.

I'm just repeating what everyone else is saying, but I'm well ****ing pissed off with this.

Pickford should be banned for season. The ****ing cunt.
              Oh I don't know.

No, don’t think he’s had any kind of knee injury before.

Everyone is different of course, but serious ACL injuries are famously among the most difficult for footballers to make a full recovery from.

And surely the fact he's so big will put further strain on the knee?

I will be hoping pickford ****s up every ****in game.

If we are not in the race to win the league when we play. Them at Anfield, I wouldn't mind seeing Robbo, Milner and Hendo properly crease their dick head players. Pickford, Richarlison and maybe Calvert. ****in horrible cunts

He's the one irreplaceable player. This feels so wrong. Proper gutted. There isn't another player out there as good. It will be a massive loss. When you consider how many tight games we won last year with him, unless the whole team improves, without him those tight games will surely not go in our favour. Unless we start scoring 4 every week.

Yep - we need to go all out to outscore our opponents - a bit like 3-4 years ago. Attack must be our best form of defense.

That would probably be advantageous to them though.

Real sliding doors moment for sure.

Such a needless tackle. I hope the rest of the squad are motivated to win it for Virgil. Feels like with Matip and Gomez prone to injury we could do with another CB in jan. It’s a shame we sold Dejan.
