Not at all. Players have played on but it ends up in agony later.

Marvin Andrews IIRC at Rangers spings to mind.

Like any injury it depends on the grade. I've seen a girl do hers and she tried to walk it off and just crumpled.

I'm recovering from an ACL tear at the moment.

If he needs an operation his season is over.

If it's a slight tear and they decide not to operate it's problably 3 months of we are lucky.

But you could decide to see if it heals with a slight tear and it doesn't so you send up needing an operation anyway.

That's what happened to me.

Very difficult to tell how bad it is even with an MRI.

Unfortunately, when it comes to cruciate injuries, the ability to walk off the pitch isn't necessarily and indicator of severity. First time I did mine, I was (stupidly) jogging up and down the sideline within 5 minutes, hoping to come back on .
