i wanted him to sign 'someone' but not just 'anyone'Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostKlopp has made us all look like a bunch of ******s (at least those that criticised him for not signing 'someone')
big difference
the time we have waited for some defensive stability has been a big problem. we are recovering and doing well, but where might we have been...removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Nah not true, defensive problems the first half of the season is one of the main reasons we are not challenging for the league. We ****ed up the VVD transfer in the summer and had to wait but that doesn't mean wanting another quality CB in the meanwhile was wrong.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostKlopp has made us all look like a bunch of ******s (at least those that criticised him for not signing 'someone')
People didn't just want any old CB mate, it didn't happen for us and we had to wait. Several calamities later we finally get our man. **** knows how close we would be to City if we had of landed him in the summer. I think we will go into the market in the summer for another CB.

Need better than both Matip and Lovren if we are to seriously challenge next year"Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

I think tactics and the way the team was set up had a big part of it.Originally posted by Rich View PostBy luck or skill the Hyypia / Henchoz axis was a fantastic combination for the first 2 / 3 years of Houllier's reign.
The team was built on defensive principles, from the back. It was solid.Oh I don't know.
