Agree with that. Its a shame as he's been so good when asked to play regularly.

In his early days he scored quite a few goals like Matip's against Leeds. Then he stopped venturing forward so far.

He is sexier than Hansen... Especially when he lets his hair down

Turned his back to let the inter striker score. Sell.

In two minds about his defending. It looks obvious that he should've committed, shut him down and tried to block the shot, and it looks lazy. But maybe the thinking is it's going to take a worldie from there to beat Alisson? A bit like Matip v Norwich, sometimes sticking a leg in makes the deflection inevitable and it's more of a lottery that the ball could fly past the keeper? As it is he has more or less one place he can stick it - right in the top corner - but he's gone and done it. I'd like to hear Klopp/Ljinders talk about this tbh - sometimes VVD can look lazy but there's no way he simply 'can't be arsed'.
                        Thanks very much for being

The hit was unreal, I don’t think VVD did anything wrong he decided to shape up to prevent the striker dribbling past him. Imo.

That's the thing. You don't want to be getting too close at that range as there's a much smaller chance of a shot going in than if the man gets past you

But VVD is so quick, that probably isn't as relevant for him. I think he'd be crucified if he'd committed and Martinez got thru
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

He does that another 10 times and its no goal. Sometimes you do everything right and **** still happens.
