Exclusive: Liverpool consider reporting Borussia Monchengladbach for illegal approach to Rhian Brewster

It's funny how players like Brewster and Sterling before him are on their second major club before they're even properly professional.

Their career is literally just that. A career.

If you're that way inclined, you'll do what you need to do to get the next step up the ladder.
      Oh I don't know.

What's the deal with the 3rd year of his academy contract? I've read a number of articles saying that we have invoked it and this stops other clubs approaching him now, but all seem to imply that he will still be leaving. I am I right in thinking this just means we will seLloyd him and get control of a deal rather than a tribunal fee?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

In fairness that's what you have to do. We as fans would like to thank that the players (particularly youth players) are fans and have a strong tie to the club but the reality is that they are employees and the need to do what is best for themselves and their careers. A football career is a short one getting games and experience early can be the difference between having a top flight career and playing in the lower leagues somewhere.

May as well sell him, he's not going to oust any of that front line anytime soon and it's highly likely we'll get another forward player in so it's no surprise he wants to **** off.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

What happened to the fella who went to Watford, was it Jerome Sinclair? Loaned out to Birmingham and destined to play for a dozen clubs. Jordon Ibe will do the same. Sterling's different because he has genuine quality . Shame they see the ££ over playing for one of the top coaches in the game

"His representatives are keen to explore....." Basically, they are in the meat trade to suck as much money out of there game as possible.

Get him signed up on a decent contract and loan him out to Germany. Best deal for all. Good for Kim as he will be on a better deal. Good for us as we can chose to keep or sell him. Good for the game as the parasites do not take money out of the game

To be fair I don't think that it can be so much about the money, surely it has to be about game time and experience. Unless you are likely to be someone who can be an instant impact or you get your chance because of an injury to player ahead of you(TAA). Your likely path with a club like us is likely to be some combination of:
                    - reserve team football
                    - a few league cup games
                    - the occasional PL game on the bench and if you are lucky 10 mins on the pitch
                    - a number of loan moves (which tend to be very hit or miss recently)

I can see why this might be frustrating, if you have the option to play elsewhere and get games in the same side for a few years, it gives you the opportunity to develop, showcase your talent and if you are good enough you can get a move somewhere bigger.

Bloodly phone always autocorrects anything with double L at the end to Lloyd for some reason. I don't even know anyone called Lloyd FFS

Yeah I see that. Trouble is that they take a percieved step down and reckon on being the difference at a place like Watford. Then it becomes apparent they're not as good as they thought they were and the downward spiral starts.

These guys well connected in Germany, saying Bayern in the mix. He’d have less of a chance playing with them than us.....

Can see why he'd look elsewhere. Front 3 locked in and we'll sign more attacking gods in the summer. Rather he stayed and we see how we go with him but he's very basic in that all he does is score goals, a nice quality but don't think he's a special talent by any means which you probably have to be if you want to break through at a top club now, in an attacking role anyway. Could be our Leigh Griffiths

We all laughed at Sterling for doing the same thing and he turned out pretty well (transfer notwithstanding!)
