I never quite got the hype when I saw him play for the youth team but the staff all do seem to rave about him. Who's he going to replace though?

Said the exact same thing myself the other day.

I've seen him have some good games and score some great goals (cracking volley and lob at start of season) but for whatever reason he's never stood out as much as say Woodburn, Wilson, Suso, Pachecho, or even the likes of Morgan or Spearing at that level.

Like you say, he's highly rated for a reason though and I think back to when I thought Sterling was overrated as I felt people got carried away with that 5 goal showing in the youth cup. I was wrong then, so happy to be proven wrong again.

Glad he's staying though as he obviously is a good player and anyone with pace can be lethal in a Klopp team if good enough.

Wasn't Klopp saying he was going to be fast tracked into the first team squad this year.

... unless that was just to get him to sign a new deal

I'm not sure there will be enough opportunities for both him and Solanke, IMO at least one of them need to go out on loan to get experience

For sure. I think he was the top scorer in one of the European youth comps last summer for England & a real standout at that level. Hope he makes the step up
