Also saw fat Sam continually chucking used bits of gum or parts of his chewing gum packet on the pitch. Absolute degenerate of a human - 60 + years and still acting like an 8 year old

It really was despicable. I was amazed. I said during the match it was like making Holgate the victim of the Johnny Foreigner when clearly it was the other way round.Originally posted by chadrtc View PostFor me it’s more that they accused Firminho of spitting without checking the replay, then when that was proven as false they started insinuating that Firminho must have said something... clearly meaning racial abuse.
It was dispicable **** in my opinion.

I've seen a lot of comments assuming guilt either on the basis of him being a foreigner or on the basis of him playing for us and on the back of the Suarez incident. It's hard to know whether these are serious or tongue in cheek comments. But the thing is whether Firmino said anything racist or not it looks like this could stick with him. Nothing to do with wanting a non contact sport. All for McCarthy and Robertson having a little barging match or whatever. Players going in for a 50/50. Not all for the quite blatant attempt to injure Firmino last night. Ross Barkley trying to break Jordan Henderson's leg last season at Goodison. Barkley trying to break Lovren's leg at Anfield last season. Williams stamping on Can's back at Anfield last season. And what have they got for that? **** all. Not one red. Could easily argue one of their dirty scumbags has pretty much finished Origi's career here too as he's never been the same since, though at least they got a red that time.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Post
It seems many want a non contact sport whereby the team with the more talented players are protected by officials to allow them to play the ball around the pitch at will.
It's not like it even gets them anywhere. They treat it like a war and lose. We just play our football and win, prefer our way myself even if you find that "boring".

The pundits on the BBC were suggesting at half time that something was said that provoked Holgate, the club have mentioned that they will work with the FA on investigating the incident, but racism hasn't specifically been mentioned officially as far as I am aware.Originally posted by Fierce View PostTwitter aside, who has suggested any racism? That said it seems likely as there are videos where it appears Holgate says to the referee 'he called me a *N-work*'The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think the inference from the MOTD heads is quite clear.Originally posted by Fierce View PostTwitter aside, who has suggested any racism? I watched the game but didn't see any after punditry
'He must have said something'
What does that even mean ? I've seen thousands of footballers over the years saying all and sundry........I have no doubt as to what the pundits are suggesting"I will make the boys feel your support"

I don't think so, Holgate's reaction intensifies at the end of Firmino shouting at him, and it's at this point that he starts grabbing and pushing the referee, so I would say it seems highly likely that's when the incident occurs.Originally posted by Fierce View PostIs he supposed to have said it BEFORE the shove?
