They are a team we should beat over two legs, but not pushovers.

Their home form in the group stages was pretty good. In their two home wins they put three past RB Leipzig last november and five past Monaco in December.

But they let in three against Besiktas for their only home loss.

We have the firepower to put away much better teams than Porto, especially if they want to turn the game into a gun fight, but I reckon they are a team that we cannot afford to try and be overly clever against and look for an away point.

Am hoping that Klopp goes for the throat in this game, and not do what Monaco did and try to soak up early pressure.

Has the potential for a feast of goals as both teams are built to attack

"interesting" team news courtesy of the Echo:

“Captain Jordan Henderson and James Milner are expected to start in midfield in the absence of the suspended Emre Can,” he (James Pearce) writes.

“Dejan Lovren and Alberto Moreno could also be drafted into the line-up.

“Joe Gomez is likely to return in place of Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back following a recent knee problem.”

We've been playing well, integrating VVD into the side and giving Karius a run in goal. So let's unnecessarily change three of our back four away from home against a team that put five past Monaco in the group stages. What could possibly go wrong?

Nice that we are allowed to replace Can with 2 players. Surely we win with an extra man on the pitch??

Not the right game for Moreno. I am sure he will get some game time before the season is up, but we can't afford a loose defensive game here.

I also think Moreno with a point to prove is the time the he is at his most erratic.

I wouldn't have any qualms with Moreno being in the team tonight. He's proved this season that he is good enough. Yes I'd rather Robertson play, but we're in a strong position with LB and I'm happy with either.

I'd pick Robbo but maybe Klopp is thinking European experience.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Moreno would just go walkabout and weaken our defence. Robbo please!

Possibly, Robbo has played some pretty big international matches, but could be Klopps thinking. If it goes that way it feels like a gamble, but Her Kloppo knows what he is doing. Normally....

I would say that the one thing we cannot do is have BOTH Lovren and Moreno in the same back 4. One or other, never both.
