The prospect of Marcelo bombing on and leaving acres of space for Mo is an intriguing one. Marcelo doesn't give a **** about defending. He is an effective attacker but gets himself isolated. Think how Mo exploited space v Roma.

The prospect of TAA having to deal with Marcelo and either Ronaldo and Bale on is own is less so.

I wonder if Real are arrogant enough to think that their game will be better than ours on the night? If they don't make any tactical allowances for us I think we could do very well against them.

he will leave acres of space, and even if he is told to stay back it will severely weaken madrids attack and hes a dog**** defender anyway.
attack wise it will be hard work for taa if marcelo is rampaging forward but i expect milner/hendo/gini? to be doubling up along side taa when needed as in the roma game.

1 week to go and it's all I'm thinking about. It's starting to sink in now just how massive this is going to be. If we end up winning it it will IMO eclipse 2005 just based on what the club has gone through over the previous years.

From almost going into administration to potential Euorpean champions in the space of 8 years.

Win or lose next week Liverpool are back where they belong.

I'm ****ting it already. I think back to 05, and that Milan team were ejaculatory on paper. Cafu, Nesta, Stam and Maldini as a back four ffs. Gattuso, Seedorf, Pirlo and Kaka feeding Shevchenko and Crespo

This Real Madrid team doesn't look as good as that, but they have the experience of winning it two seasons on the bounce. I don't know how I coped in 05 and 07 during the build-up, because this next week is going to drag.
