In fairness we don't know if he is sticking with him it's preseason and we only have 2 experienced keepers to choose from, both have shared the duties so far. So on the evidence of the preseason there is as much chance of Ward starting the season as KariusOriginally posted by Tee View PostKlopp is showing some blind loyalty here if Karius is in goal v West Ham. Needs to bin him off ASAP, doesn’t matter if we get a replacement or not, I would rather Mig and Ward
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

First half. Ward had one chance and pulled off an excellent reaction save. Defence had very little to do. Fabinho played super deep but had that whole classy laziness where he’s on the next page reading the game so he made it look simple. Keita struggled to get involved but didn’t exactly look like he knew his treammates- but was tidy in possession and strong. Lallana was super sharp. Kent was fast and skilful but annoyingly turned onto his right foot too much. Ooh looked ok and took his goal well. Solanke looked poor. 2nd half. Karius at fault for free kick and generally looked nervy with a moment of indecision between him and Clyne. Gomez comfortable but Chirivella didn’t really offer stability. Milner best player, kept us ticking. Other midfielders Didmt really have any urgency or incisive ball, lots of sideways passing. Sturridge dropped too deep. Origi looked well off the boil. Wilson promising.

Was worried about the West Ham game since it was announced and our lack of 'big game players' being available. But then, like with you, it struck me how other teams will suffer more. Just because Belgium lost doesn't mean the players can go on holiday. They've got to play again on Saturday.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostWasn't sure where to stick this so here will do.
Been worrying a bit about our lads coming back late, and being reintegrated into the squad late - so Firmino, Salah and Mane who are all behind the others, and Henderson, Trent and Lovren who are still at the WC and will be there for the duration.
Got me thinking about our rivals.
Spurs: Lloris, Trippier, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Rose, Dembele, Dier, Alli and Kane are all still at the tournament
....with Eriksen behind schedule. A lot worse than us.
That's more or less their first team.
City have Kompany, De Bruyne, Stones, Walker, Sterling, Delph and Mendy all still there, with the likes of Gundogan, both Silvas, Jesus, Ederson, Danilo, Fernandinho, Aguero and Otamendi all back late.
United have Lukaku, Fellaini, Jones, Young, Lingard, Rashford and Pogba still there, with De Gea, Matic, Rojo and Lindelof all back late.
Chelsea have Hazard, Courtois, Batshuayi, Cahill, Loftus-Cheek, Kante and Giroud still there, and the likes of Willian and Moses back late.
I can't be arsed to do Arsenal cos they're ****e.
Point is, they're all worse off than us. Pretty good.

The one thing a long run in the world cup does to players is not the delayed start to the season, nor any injury worries. But the mental and physical fatigue around the final third of the season, i.e. the business end. Hopefully, the likes of Sterling, De Bruyne, Hazard, Kante, Alderweirald, Pogba, Lukaku, Young, Alli, Lingard, Kane, etc, won't have what it takes to finish strongly. One tit for another.

I never thought I'd say this but I'd actually prefer to see Mignolet in goal now.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Both did ok Bender. Not sensational but decent yeah. They interchanged from time to time but Fab was normally the deeper of the two. More of the play went through Lallana on our left but you can see the quality.Originally posted by Bender View PostHow did Keita and Fabinho do?Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
