Van Dijk actually looks like something out of 300 in that pic

That's a pretty good photo of Wij there.

Wijnaldum is one of those annoyingly photogenic people. Good looking *******.

Wasn't sure where to stick this so here will do.

Been worrying a bit about our lads coming back late, and being reintegrated into the squad late - so Firmino, Salah and Mane who are all behind the others, and Henderson, Trent and Lovren who are still at the WC and will be there for the duration.

Got me thinking about our rivals.

Spurs: Lloris, Trippier, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Rose, Dembele, Dier, Alli and Kane are all still at the tournament ....with Eriksen behind schedule. A lot worse than us. That's more or less their first team.

City have Kompany, De Bruyne, Stones, Walker, Sterling, Delph and Mendy all still there, with the likes of Gundogan, both Silvas, Jesus, Ederson, Danilo, Fernandinho, Aguero and Otamendi all back late.

United have Lukaku, Fellaini, Jones, Young, Lingard, Rashford and Pogba still there, with De Gea, Matic, Rojo and Lindelof all back late.

Chelsea have Hazard, Courtois, Batshuayi, Cahill, Loftus-Cheek, Kante and Giroud still there, and the likes of Willian and Moses back late.

I can't be arsed to do Arsenal cos they're ****e.

Point is, they're all worse off than us. Pretty good.

It's a good point actually, will be good for us, we can almost field our starting line up soon.

Reckon Mane and Salah will be good to go, Milner, Keita, Fabinho and Gini should have the midfield covered and VVD, Robertson and Clyne should be fit, only question mark is Matip.

I hope England win it, after a final against Belgium
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Think someone made a similar post at the start of the WC.

Firmino is the big one for me, if he's fully fit for West Ham, we should make a good start to the season as everyone else still there has decent cover already in place for them.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Mignolet is away too so it makes us even stronger!

Wijnaldum, Milner and Keita to start against West Ham, with Fabinho to replace Keita after 60 minutes. #OppositionBe****ed

The front 3 are key, getting Bobby back, fit and ready is key to how we play. We also need to ensure Mo is fit and mentally ready as he has had a fairly intense summer despite Egypt not progressing beyond the group.

You feel that we could cope without the players still at the WC, we have a number of midfield options so don't need to rush Henderson back, Clyne can come in for TAA who I feel will have to be managed well this year to avoid burn out. Lovren is likely to be the biggest miss of players still at the WC because of the relatively few quality options we have back there. Mignolet wouldn't be playing anyway.

As Shaggy says we are in a much better position than many of our rivals so it would be good if we could get off to a good start (something we often struggle to do).
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

What is good is that Keita and Fabinho are getting integrated nice and early, especially given they don't speak English.

I think we go into the first international break top of the league and hopefully the support and momentum from last seasons end and the start. Keeps us focused on a challenge for the title.

Keeping saying it and Klopp should come out and say we are going for it
