I think tonight shows between Jones and Bradley we have enough first choice cover at RB. With Quansah and Gomez in reserve we don’t need to worry about a Trent replacement for RB.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

I wouldn't say we don't need to worry about a replacement, but it does mean that we don't need to panic buy, we have cover and can afford to cherry pick our next RB option.

I must be in the minority that thought having Jones there hampered us. Nice baller but too slow to be our right full & doesn't release the ball quickly enough. I did think he did alright last night though but the balance on the right was all off imo.

Think he did more than alright there to be fair and I reckon the stats will back up the eye test on that one.

He won his share of duels, his passing appeared to be very accurate and most importantly, for me anyway, he locked down his position defensively and was a very effective shield for Konate.

Thought it was another very good stand in performance at RB by him.

Midfield is obvs his best position, but nice to know we have him as a quality third choice RB option.

It’s not his long term position for sure, but thought he did great.

no surprise Salahs last two games where he was not at normal standard was without a recognised full back behind him

I don't think anyone is saying he didn't do ok. He has ability but he just doesn't have the attributes to be a fullback at LFC. Not quick, doesn't ran at players, doesn't get to the byline and not a long ball specialist. He excels at keeping possession, being clever and playing intricate balls in small spaces.

He did fine in isolation but it knocked out whole right side out of balance imo.

Yes, all that and being press-resistant, too. I do like the idea of him being at right back, as it is not that hard a position to learn.
Under Slot, he can come on in leaps and bounds while freeing up space in the midfield for someone decent to come in as not comfortable having to rely on Grav, Macca & Szobo to be available all the time, they will need rest & help.
Jones can become our utility man when Endo leaves.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Not sure (m)any of our fullbacks fulfil all those criteria to be honest...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

But Jones is the only cover in midfield that Slot plays. We cant not bring in new bodies

He has been pretty awful for a while

He's a great player and agree he had a good enough game, but not sure he has the pace for Rb.

And also that slot is Bradley's to own if he can stay fit.
