When he first came his use of the ball was outstanding, but it's been ****e for a while now. No idea why. Maybe the calf injuries are a factor.

Allisson doesn't worry me to be honest, he is prone to a few brain farts but is a quality keeper that will always come good. Miscommunication is what happens when you play 265 different CB's ahead of your goal keeper in a season.

I was worried before we signed him that he only had 1 full season as first choice keeper in his career and his general lack of minutes and maybe he was going through a purple patch. Obviously massively proved me wrong and he's been ridiculous for us.
His constant injuries since playing so often is more of a concern than his form imo. No point having the best keeper if he's missing so many games. Forces us into needing a quality second keeper.
Add in his form, he's lost his invincibility which seem to be scare attackers into making bad decisions, now its just put it on target. Is he kicking also different since the calf injuries?
If we could get the young Milan lad out of contract in the summer. I'd run with both of them. They'd both get plenty of minutes based on recent history. Fantasy stuff though.

Ok cool, fair enough. So, play Adrian then?Originally posted by Kenneth View PostI don't agree. It was a completely crazy decision, one that he doesn't make in previous seasons. The defender was in a position to hinder the attacker when the ball arrived, and it was miles away from goal, and even without the defender there, it's not clear he would have won it. 100% a brain fart by the keeper.

It's a misunderstanding between Kabak and Alisson, lack of understanding but Alisson should have shouted to make it clear he was coming for that and Kabak get out of the way. Although not sure why he has come that far for it, would need to see it again (but don't want to)

Someone used to play in our system knows that Ali is gonna come for that ball. Misunderstanding with a new player in.

The alternatives are playing Adrian who as a few errors in him, or risking damaging the confidence of a young keeper like Kelleher. Not sure if bringing in either for the Derby would be a plus and not so sure that either are an upgrade on even an out of sorts Alisson.
I think he was actually a bit unlucky today, as was Kabak, and that Alisson made more than a few smart stops or catches during the game.
