Was speaking to my United supporting mate a couple of weeks ago and he's like 'meh' when it comes to Alisson, reckons he's the same as other very good keepers in the league but not a stand-out. I shouldn't have been surprised but he reckons its "his mistakes that leads to goals" where he falls down.

Honestly I laugh when I see/hear people debating the best keeper in the league and people start saying Ederson, Martinez, Mendy or whothe****ever. It's not even close.

Seems to be in beast mode again. 4 clean sheets in 5 and some top saves in all of them.

I think for his career he needs a loan move. Celtic signed Joe Hart the other day but for me something like a 2-year loan would have been brilliant for Kelleher up there.

Well he's never going to be our long term number one as quite honestly he ain't good enough. So as long as he's not the delusional type he should be grateful and thankful that becker picks up more knocks than any number one I've ever known so he'll no doubt get a load of games.

Alison is quite injury prone, plus Kelleher will get cups, so should get some decent pitch time. Hang about, pick up a few trophies, then head out on loan to get some first team football.

I think for his career he needs a loan move. Celtic signed Joe Hart the other day but for me something like a 2-year loan would have been brilliant for Kelleher up there.

Yeah he needs regular first team game time and something like a one year loan deal with the option of a second year if all parties wanted it would make sense.

I'd rather Kelleher was our no. 2 rather than Adrian...perhaps Klopp thinks so too...

And I think that may well be the crux of it. I like Adrian as a keeper and by all accounts he is very popular behind the scenes and helps out a lot with the younger keepers, however I would prefer to have a better back up to him now.

Though finding another experienced keeper at the tail end of his career that is better than Adrian, suits how we play and is willing to take the risk of having very little game time might be difficult to get.
