Hang on...are you saying you think West Ham outplayed Liverpool? Out-thought them on the corners, yes, but outplayed them?

If you watch the replay, you can see Jota push him towards Alisson. Not sure whether that was before or after they had to replace a player because of a busted nose after Jota elbowed him in the face.

There’s always calls that go for and against, whinging about refs when you’ve been outplayed is pretty embarrassing, and I doubt Klopp would do it in the cold light of day.

Hopefully LFC take that anger from being ****ed over and channel it in a positive way. And go and win our next 8 or 10 league games.

Especially when a few days later in the Ireland vs Portugal game a foul was given for far less contact on a keeper and a goal disallowed.

The red card should have been given too because intent does not matter a jot nor does winning the ball first when the rules of the game clearly state that it is a red card if the player's motion is out of control.

Well a number of people don't agree. He was weak. Feeble. Poor. Whatever, he gifted them a goal.

Late to the discussion, but I agree, Antonio was jumping backwards into Alisson. If this isn't a foul then we are opening hunting season on keepers, 100% a foul IMO. It's not like Alisson is soft or **** at crosses, don't get this perceived weakness neither We didn't lose because of this call, but this was wrong.

And it would be good if Jota didn’t barge players into the keeper next time too.

He needs to lead with his knee right into the strikers back or whatever & make them think twice about crowding him out.

He ****ed up. Took him too long to judge the flight of the ball so didn’t have the height to get above the striker. The ball was there for the striker to try and get a head to it. And VAR reviewed it and said no foul, so whatever he did, he needs to do something else because punching the ball into his own net like that is the least preferable option.

    Foul or not.

Someone should have dragged back to protect Alisson. It's a massive hole in the modern set piece game. Everyone has a job and they stick to it. When it's disrupted they've no plan B.
