Just a shame it was so needless as he was one bit of over confidence away from 360 mins without conceding.

good time for a mistake imo
he'll know he cant take chances every week and needs to be a bit quicker.
Also teams will think he can be get at, so push more players forward, gives us more space to attack quickly.
usually refs blow for any tackle on a keeper and I think they'll let more go, as he's inviting them on so much

I didn't see the game but saw the BBC refer to an Alisson howler. I was quite relieved to find out it was an attempt at a turn rather than **** keeping like spilling a shot or comimg for a corner and missing.
It's a good lesson to learn and as you say, a good time to learn it, as no harm done.

watching it back on MOTD, both times he was under pressure last week was from VVD sloppy passes. The error today, 3 bad passes between outfield players, then another bad pass by VVD, when he receives the ball and looks up not a single outfield pass is available to him so he attempts the daft flick
we've put him under undue pressure

I don't think it was just Alisson that we put under undue pressure, for me we did the same to our CBs there were a few occasions where Gomez or VVD had to play their way out of trouble because one of the midfielders played a pass that immediately put them under pressure and then the player they passed to was in a similar situation. Our passing a decision make yesterday was really poor at times. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Henderson is sometimes guilty of passing the ball back and that can invite pressure like yesterday, not having a go at Hendo, it's just something he does.Originally posted by Exiled_red View Post

Just watching back the highlights, glad Alisson didn’t break his hand punching the post in frustration
Especially with Mig the Moaner waiting in the wings. Funny thing is big Al nearly saved the goal.

As some have alluded, it's probably a good thing, especially without it affecting the result, as its given him a marker to keep in mind. A reminder that anyone at this level and speed of the English game can force mistakes if complacency seeps in. Certainly Iheanacho appeared acutely aware of what Alisson might try by initially slowing up.
He already got away with one against Brighton, which seems to have been lost in his 'flick' in the same game, but it's now cost us a goal without 'costing' us.
Don't expect him to change his approach, but it is certainly encouraging seeing him revaluating what he should have done post match (though crying foul is a bit 'catch yourself on'), and certainly on at least one occasion immediately after he took the sensible approach. He'll learn from it, so it's all good (as long as it doesn't affect the result)."I will make the boys feel your support"
