Woah there BR. I know the odds are slim but we're still in with a chance of doing a league and CL double. I'll save my tears until 5pm next Sunday, if needed at all.Originally posted by brightred View PostI can't wait to finish work and start drinking again.
A friend of mine said to me the other day that it could be a terrible 2 weeks to be a Liverpool supporter. He wasn't wrong.
Not aimed at you but, **** all this negativity, Brighton drew away with Arsenal and the fear has left their play. I think they've got a 25% chance of getting a result next Sunday.
As for tonight, we've done it before, it's in our DNA. We've done it before with a much worse team and without the best manager in the world. Come on your REDS!

It's unlikely though, but if anyone can do it, it's our club. Nevertheless, if we wont make it, this has been an awesome ride and the team deserves all the credit in world. We are here to stay, I think we are looking at a two horse race next season as well.Originally posted by Norbs View PostWoah there BR. All we can do really is beat Wolves and finish on 97 points, it's unlikely that City will stutter against Brighton but you never know.
Even if as it looks likely we end up 2nd and out of the CL in the Semi's what a ****ing season we've had. 25 points behind them last season whereas we still have a chance going into the last game of the season. It'll be gutting of course if we finish empty handed but the way we've played and pushed all the way has been amazing.

I don’t feel any negativity in being a Liverpool supporter today, no jinx no curse. If anyone were to laugh or say anything to me I couldn’t care less. This team is amazing. This is the team we support and they have given everything. A few of them playing almost every game.
In 2014 or last year after the CL final I felt gutted. But this time it is the team I feel for. To have contributed so much and most likely not achieved what they deserve will be tough. But look at them, they are fighters. I hope it galvanises them.
We will be stronger next season, so we go again.
What else are we going to do?
I just hope that the stadium responds and reacts as if they did win come Sunday at full time. I hope every supporter in there let’s the lads know how proud we are of them.Modifying post.

Bookies odds have City at 1/6 to win on Sunday. That's an 83.33% chance they win, and a 16.67% chance they draw/lose.Originally posted by Norbs View PostWoah there BR. CITY'S TITLE: 83.33%
LIVERPOOL'S TITLE: 16.67%
At the start of the season if you'd told us we'd have a chance of winning it on the final day of the season we'd have all been delighted.
I think we've all just been worn down by them continuing to win tight games. It's hard to be positive when they seem to win every single game.
I have long since claimed they have the potential to bottle a game, and I stand by that. They've proved it in the Champions League. There just hasn't been a league game in months when they've gone behind and had to dig deep. I'm praying Brighton can be that team, but it just doesn't feel like it's in the stars for us I'm afraid. I think they'll win easily.

Yeah, hope rather than expectation. If we knew we’d be in the conversation going into the final day we’d definitely have all taken it.Originally posted by Pablo View PostBookies odds have City at 1/6 to win on Sunday. That's an 83.33% chance they win, and a 16.67% chance they draw/lose.

I do remember that year when Man U couldn’t score v West Ham on the final day despite creating 100’s of chances and blew the League.
The thing is, Coty have been as relentless as is this season.
But it’s a funny old game innit Saint?Modifying post.

Its gonna be hard to match this seasons points total, as its been amazingOriginally posted by Alex View PostOne thing is for sure. We need to consolidate and not have this be a one off. If 2 teams dominate going forward, I want us to be one of them.
I can see us getting in the 80's next season in terms of points and can see some sections of the support kicking off over it

Clinging to the fact they're away from home.
In terms of opposition I think the final day of the season is always a funny one. Very few teams have anything left to play for. It can go either way, sometimes teams aren't arsed, and sometimes they play better and with more freedom.
Brighton aren't the opposition I would have picked for them to face, but with a bit of luck they'll play with freedom and could cause City a few problems. They are decent from set pieces. An early set-piece goal and we'd see what City are made of.
Yes I am trying to convince myself here

I’m desperately trying to buy into that but I just can’t see beyond a comprehensive city win. At least we have taken it to the last game and shown that we are a force to be reckoned with...next year....there’s always next yearOriginally posted by Pablo View PostClinging to the fact they're away from home.

Cling on to the fact that they're playing the same time as us too and that may be a distraction. Not that our result matters at all but its worth clinging to somethingOriginally posted by Pablo View PostClinging to the fact they're away from home.
