I'll be stuck in work tomorrow so forced to watch Sunday Supplement. Wonder if we'll get more than a 30 second mention for a change.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

The topic of conversation will be how great the tackle on Gomez was and how Klopp is an idiot.

I thought it was Spurs 61, Chelsea around 07, and City last year when they won the first 14 or whatever it was.

Sterling has certainly gone up a level.

Different kind of pressure being top. At least our next league game is fairly easy.
                Another MASSIVE game

It will be interesting to see how City cope with some genuine pressure. Obviously a great team but not had this yet. Also how much league pressure has Pep ever been under? Maybe some with Real but not in Germany.

Anyone else around their forties like me feel it’s different to previous close calls? I saw a few of the final titles but was too young to really get it. This feels so much more real than our recent close calls. When the game ended and the commentator said Liverpool are top but for how long, my first reaction was the rest of the season.

I dunno. There is a clear gap between the top two and everyone else.

City have a much better squad... but can only play 11 at a time.

I think tiredness and injuries will have a say... that why I kind of hope we get knocked out if the Champions League... I always feel like we have a chance of winning it when we qualify. The league on the other hand is like the Holy Grail.

The thing to note is we have a real chance of topping "the best team ever". My head tells me it unlikely... But it also tells me Klopp has a young squad, made the best of his resources, and this is an exciting time for a Liverpool fan.

**** City..! Our team is full of heroes to be top with the record we have. It feels like we are back. If it doesnt come this season, it must surely be soon. we have a truely exceptional team, either way... and we have Klopp.

It definitely feels different to 2013 when we were swept along by a player leagues ahead of anyone else. I want us to rotate even more so that it becomes commonplace and that way we'll cope better with injuries.

However, if we lose Alisson we lose the chance to win the league. He's our only cast iron key man IMO, followed by VVD

If we're ahead of City after we've played them then I think we'll be favourites provided we stay injury free in the main

Under Rafa I never really thought we were going to win the league. I hoped we could but always had doubts.

Under Rodgers we had that one season where I thought we might if things went our way.

But this season does feel different, this season does not feel like a might nor is it just a hope. This season it feels like we can and that we have the pieces in place to mount a serious tilt at the title for the entire season. It also feels a season in which we can decide it for ourselves rather than hoping for other teams to fall away.

I am sure there will be a few blips along the way, but unlike other seasons I am expecting us to just keep ploughing on after those blips.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Still not feeling it tbh. But we could be 10 points clear with 3 to go and I'd still have concerns.
