We have the quality to win it, no doubt, but I'm still expecting something satanic to happen, something out of our powers. A scandal, injury, unfortunate crucial own goal by VVD which destroys his mentality permanently, or some ****e in the Everton / United game...

Nah. Bin this thinking. I get it. It's easier to be pessimistic and expect the worst. That way if something awful did happen it hurts less because you were expecting it. You little genius, you saw it coming didn't you? It's a **** way to be though, always waiting for something horrific to happen. **** that way of life.Originally posted by Fuzzy View PostWe have the quality to win it, no doubt, but I'm still expecting something satanic to happen, something out of our powers. Instead why not try to be like Klopp and be positive and hope for the best?
I'm not sure I 100% believe in the law of attraction, but I do think if we are fans are more positive that will feed through to the players in some way, shape or form.

It's well within our grasp now. We'll likely need some luck along the way, especially with avoiding injuries to key players. So will City to be fair.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostNicely put

I think it's going to be really tight and we'll need to keep picking off the wins over the next few weeks as I think City are high on confidence again.
City are under immense pressure though. They have little margin for error. One more big slip-up from them and it's as good as game over. Not an envious position to be in.

I was driving home last night and caught a bit of a debate on the Title Race. One fella was basically saying that Man City's squad was better, that they proved they were better than us at the Ethiad (discounting the fact that the ref ****ed us with the Kompany tackle.....but why let facts get in the way!). He had no answer to the reply though. The show host (don't know who - was on 5Live) basically said "yeah but Liverpool are 4 points ahead - so they just need to be better than all of the other teams from here on in".
It is a really good way of looking at it - and one I am sure that Klopp will continue to drive into our players. We are in the driving seat.....so next up, beat Crystal Palace and still be in the driving seat. Then, beat Leicester City. Then West Ham......
Just looking at the fixtures too - I think that the 10 day gap between the Palace game and the Leicester game could be huge as well. Hopefully the team go away and recharge their batteries, and really have time to focus on what lays ahead. Although I was a bit disappointed to go out of the FA Cup, I don't think our squad is good enough to go on 3 fronts. So if we stayed in the cup, you could see our season ending along the lines of coming 2nd in the league, getting to the semi of the FA Cup and perhaps getting to the same stage of the CL. A good season but in reality we want to win the league so ****in much. If we did go out against Bayern too, you know what, the upside would be we can go for the league in a big way.
Enjoying this season so much

I'm nearly 38. The last time we won the league is a fuzzy childhood memory (excuse the pun), so I get it. There's been some big disappointments and let-downs over the years.Originally posted by Fuzzy View PostAdmire you boys, I just don't have it in me.
There were a couple bad ones over the years, and I though Gerrard slip was the worst that could happen, but the CL final felt just as bad. It's wore me down.
I do love stats and analytics though and if you do there's every reason to be optimistic this time around. We're a genuinely title winning side over the past 38 games. And one that is getting better and better. I'm not sure City can say the same (I think they were slightly better last season).
We've got them rattled. It's why they celebrated like they'd won the league when they beat us at the Etihad. We just need to keep the pressure on them and I suspect it will be them who "slip" this time and not us.

Kompany has always come across as a pretty sound guy to me.Originally posted by greenturnip View PostI'd love to see Kompany's misrable face if we win it. City have an entitlement attitude that is annoying...(although I still think Pep is a decent bloke).
Would have loved to have had him at Anfield the past 10 years.
There's not a lot hateable players there I think about it. Nothing like United, Chelsea or Graham era Arsenal.
De Bruyne, Aguero, even Sterling (LFC history aside) seem nice enough.
A bit bland or anonymous maybe. But not hateable.Oh I don't know.

There also seems to be a genuine love-in between the two managers and sets of players.
Not with the fans though, theirs are bunch of self-entitled wannabe pricks.

If little Leicester could manage to win it then there is no reason why we cant.
Yes, we need the planets to align, keep Vvd, alisson and salah fit and playing, get over our mini injury crisis, our midfield to grow a pair and find which way is forward.
the signs are good and although we might lose the odd one its more than likely that city will also be dropping a few along the way.
It'll be a close thing, but... come the **** on lads, we're here and we are LFC
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
