Exactly. If we're ahead of them after Wednesday (equal games played) then we've a huge advantage. If we're ahead of them at any point that we've played equal games then I think we've done itOriginally posted by banditos View PostCity play Cardiff midweek this week, but then have FA cup on the weekend.

Obviously every game is a cup final....but the next 2 are the real biggies for me.
Southampton are resurgent under this new manager that they have - and they always give the big teams a game in St Marys. Added to the fact that it is under the lights on a friday night, and they will be well up for the game.
If we win on friday and at home to Chelsea the following weekend, then I can see us winning our final 4 games.
Sunday 14th of April could be a huge day in the title race - we will be hoping that Palace can stop them before we play Chelsea.
And the same the following weekend - they play Spurs on the Sat morning - while we have Cardiff the following day.

City must have been watching that thinking that’s us dropped 2 points.
They haven’t dropped any points in what, 7 or 8 games. And we are still above them
I think even our own fans underestimate this team. We have become so resilient. Coming back having let the opposition equalise v Spurs, v Fulham, v Bayern.
Every week city play before us. Every week we do what is necessary. Amazing mentality.
Not bad for a team of bottlers. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

We certainly know how to grind out results, christ sake it was as tight as a fishes arse that game. Spurs are a good side and tough opposition for anyone. Robbo, VVD, Trent oustanding, Matip & Bobby were excellent too. Potch messed up with the formation and our fullbacks got acres of space early on but he did adapt and it made things tougher for us.
I thought we were so much better when Fabinho came on, we are just a better side with him in midfield in that deeper role. He's just much better at it than Hendo as it's not his natural position and he's not good on the ball. IMO Milner done ok first half thought he was our best performing MF but legs went in second, Gini and Hendo were poor, Hendo especially. Always said Gini is much better when Hendo is not playing, stand by that.
Was itching for Mo to have a good game but he struggled again, trying to hard, over thinking, picking wrong options. He may not get that goal but maybe might give him a boost. Alisson though, what are people's thoughts? Really like him and wouldn't change him for anyone but stop ****ing around with it at the back, too many games he is making mistakes being too casual and he's just lucky it hasn't cost us. He's a brilliant shot stopper best in league and beast in the box, love his quickness and quality of distribution but cut out the messing around as it's going to go against us at some point.
Some result though

With us in big moments but not when we gave up our advantage over City at the top of the league with **** results against Leicester, west ham etc...Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostThe Origi goal against Everton
City missing a penalty against us
This own goal today
Luck is with us big style in big moments.
Got to make it pay.
tends to balance itself out over time... we just notice the good luck more than the bad luck
