Our bench on Sunday contained Sturridge, Origi, Fabinho, Shaq, Keita.

Not too shabby for a team with no depth.

Sturridge didn't even make the bench.


I look at the squad depth thing as a positive. We are a cunt hair away from them - and might possibly overtake them in the next 6 games. And there is no denying that their squad is better.

Which means we can improve more than them over the next 12 to 18 months.

Throw in the average age of our team - and we are on the up whereas I'm not sure they are. This is clearly shown with their signing of Mahrez. £65m and he did not improve them. I think Foden will add strength to them in the next year or so - but he isn't going to be an improvement on Silva.

Our first defeat was away to City, our only defeat and we were unlucky to lose there.

To be fair I always expect us to lose to UTD because of past BS games. And Gomez was just 1 example. I didnt feel the need to spoon feed you with a dozen. Due to multiple reasons already discussed at length, there is every reason to expect that City will drop points somewhere. All we have to do is worry about the teams we are facing and on paper we should beat most, if not all of them, even without VVD and dare I say, even without Gomez.

Thats a great idea. While we're at it we can rename ourselves to RAWK2, and anyone with a slightly different view should be chased off to for a perfect utopia where we all chant 'its our year, its our year'

I'm pretty much saying the exact same thing you just said, but you're taking it wrongly. They have a better position in terms of squad depth. If we get a problem injury it'll be harder for us. I'm not saying the entire season is over 100%, lets go home now. Jesus its like you cant point out that we have a harder hill to climb without people throwing mud back at you.
