If City didnt have teams like UTD willing to roll over for them so we dont win the title then I'd say we would have a chance. Rip me apart for my views but I've always expected a strong second place over the last couple months.
Add vlahka and weatherman to the growing list of Liverpool fans who's bottle has gone I'm afraid.

This is how good we are in context:

City have a harder April than us on paper. It's all to play for. Write us off if it makes it easier for you to cope, but this is going to go down to the wire.

You have to remember that city have technically 2 strong teams they can field. We're a bit screwed with some choices just from the bench. We have to play our first team in every game and hope we dont get too tired or any injuries. It was a huge stroke of luck VD wasnt injured badly. But if he had? City can just replace with ease and go along as they do. Its good to hope we'll win but theres no way you can say you're fully sure it'll happen. Too many times we've gotten close and not made it. And this time we have a really really stupidly good team to fight. Any other season it would be ours.

Despite my pessimism I still wave a little flag in hopes it'll happen. But its looking really really slim.

        It's not. It's just not.

We're less than 2/1 with most bookmakers. How is that "really, really slim". Get a grip.

It's too close to call so to say that our chances are slim is ridiculous.
          Oh I don't know.

            As ever a ridiculous post.

We might not win the league but at present we have every chance of doing so.

City should be considered favourites, they've can ultimately get more points than us, but I'd say its more 60/40 in their favour rather than 80/20 or 90/10.

We are right in the mix

Our bench on Sunday contained Sturridge, Origi, Fabinho, Shaq, Keita.

Not too shabby for a team with no depth.
                Oh I don't know.

                  Yup!

Pressure is all on them tbh they should win the league with the players and resources they've thrown at it.

If they go and win the rest of the game this season they'll fully deserve the title tbh but that in itself is going to be a tough ask

It's just a **** mentality to have. Sorry vlahka, it's not just you, there are others who've bottled it like you have.

"If I tell myself we're not going to win it, then I can't be disappointed when it happens. I can even say I told you so. And if we actually do win it then that's a bonus."

That's basically how I see your thought process. I think if all of our fans thought like that we'd have no chance. Thankfully most of us don't.

The majority of us would be wanking feverishly if it was said at the beginning of the season we would be in this position with 6 games to go. Two points clear having played a game more is a fantastic acheivement to date. MC are still fighting all four fronts and will have a horrendous fixture list if the win the CL quarter and the FA semi. These two points over their game in hand are priceless, in my opinion

Oh for sure, half of it is saying to oneself we wont win so we dont feel bad when it happens. Totally viable reason. But again, none of you who are calling me out are denying that their squad depth is better. If we had lost VD the other day we'd be on our way to some very nervy times. City dont really have that issue. We didnt get the injury luckily. But the fact that we CAN get this is a reason we are a little lower. Some of you happily throw insults at me for the way I see things and thats fine, no worries. But how many of you expected us to roll on perfectly after we lost Gomez? Those 2 months where we threw away a 9 point lead? You're seriously telling me its not possible we could trip up? Its always possible. Especially with an injury or half a first team squad thats tired. And again, some of our upcoming games, the teams wont roll over like they will for City. There are more reasons why its harder for us than it is for them.

But that would mean that they beat City so we'd w.......oh wait....

No one is saying any of that.

It's the "slim chance" comment you were pulled up on.

Fingers crossed. Warnock is so angry it might just happen. He'll blow his load tonight either way leaving little energy for his game against us.
