Yeah what ever happens now I already feel great about this season, I want a trophy for Klopp more than myself. I am feeling bullish about the CL now. Our team is in good shape our squad is in good shape, we know how to get results now. All we can keep doing is winning, Honestly the sheer volume of games City have played if they can manage to make that work for them fair ****s to them, but lets see what shape they are in after Spurs come at time like hungry dogs two games in a row, then they play United Burnley and Leicester

I don't see anyone beating us this season so CL could be even more achievable. Don't fear Spurs, Juve, Ajax or Man Utd and think we are a match for City and Barca. Spurs to beat City please, get them out asap and get their heads down. Once that one slips the league becomes infinitely more important to them and the pressure will tell

Arsenal winning away at Watford. Great news as it pushes Utd down to 6th

I guess we want a result whatever it is to be sorted in 90 mins as extra time would be more of an issue for Spurs in the league game than for City who have the larger squad.

I think City going out just allows them to focus on the league (and to a lesser extent the FA Cup, but that doesn't affect us). I think that having the extra games will be an extra distraction. If we go through I think I would want City to go through as well because them not having the extra games will give them a slight advantage over us.

And if Spurs go out it means they really need some points on Saturday.

Feels a bit counter intuitive to be wanting a City win tomorrow night though. And the flip side is that going out tomorrow to Spurs could have a massive effect on City’s morale.

**** knows eh? Whatever will be will be.

It’s not tomorrow, it’s Wednesday, same as us.

I hope City go through so they don’t just focus everything on the league.
And then hopefully drop points on Saturday, of course.

Personally I see Spurs winning the CL tie is a much bigger thing for them than City, so I think that the danger is that they would take it a little easier in the league game after what would be a massive result in midweek. I guess the ideal situation would be Spurs going into the league game with a sense of injustice, having been hard done by and wanting to get revenge for being knocked out.

Hope they go out. Weakens that half of the draw, we’d **** Ajax, we are much better than Spurs and we are a style nightmare for a slow as **** Juve team.

And we don’t potentially have to share Madrid with Manc filth. Don’t think them being in a semi really hinders them v a pathetic Brighton side and at home to a beach bound Leicester.

Considering Neville's comments I am now thinking its best United drops points against Everton. Its not beyond the realms for this scenario to play out
                          City Beat Spurs
                          Arsenal Beat Palace
                          United draw at Everton
Then the table will look like this

                          Games Played Points

                          City..........34............86
                          Liverpool...34............86
                          Arsenal.....34............69
                          Spurs.......34............67
                          Chelsea....34............66
                          United......34............65

Considering Spurs will qualify for the CL I am almost certain of that, what we are really looking at is a race between United Chelsea and Arsenal for 4th and Arsenal have by far the easiest run-in with all 5 games normally when they are playing well you would expect them to win. Even if Arsenal drop 3 points in their last 5 games that will still put them on 78 points, if United lose to City and win all of there remaining games it will put them on 77 points in 5th place, even Spurs again lets say they take nothing from City ... if they draw against Bournemouth away or West Ham then that puts them right back in the danger zone.
I genuinely think for both United and Spurs, a point for both them is good enough whilst city need all 3 points from both games which will play into both United and Spurs hands, esepcially United.

There is no way either team would go into that City game thinking its ok we can take a hit here
