Anyway, this time next week we'll know where the title is going. Quite exciting but also nerve wracking given we need a **** up.
It's all bollocks. Will City be more motivated now to prove a point against Spurs, or will they be broken by the nature of their exit? Will Cardiff be more motivated after their win against Brighton? Or would they have been just as motivated anyway to make sure they didn't have relegation confirmed in front of their own fans against us?

In a title race as tight as this it's just down to who out of two exceptional teams has an off-day at the wrong time. We need to make sure that it isn't us.

Just keep winning games and see what happens. Nothing more we can do than that.

Bit worried tottenham might rest some players and focus completely on the CL. Its a chance for a major major trophy. If thats the case we'll have tottenham and UTD both rolling over for city.

Do you think Spurs are that deluded ????? Yeah you’ve got a point
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

No way spurs rest players. They need a top four spot and can’t afford to get beat let alone put out a weak team and suffer a big defeat. They’ll be flying and will fancy some psychological damage on city. Remember they’ll be thinking with a few extra quality players they could be in a title race next season so lay down some markers by winning away to city would be perfect.

If anything their success this season will make them even more eager to qualify. Not that they need a reason other than the huge stadium investment that needs repaying

It's not that they haven't been bothered about the league, clearly they have. The extra motivation IMO is likely to come from the frustration of going out of the CL to Spurs and the fact that they have an immediate chance for a kind of revenge, it's more extra motivation to make sure they beat / punish Spurs, for what they probably consider an upset. The game happens to be in the league so it is extra motivation for the league in regards to this game.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

That could also work against them, get too worked up for it and not play their natural game.

We've no way of knowing how it will affect them, there are pros and cons for both outcomes. Personally I'm delighted they got beat last night and I also feel if Sterling goal had of stood, they'd have kicked on and hammered Spurs on Saturday.

                      Roll on Saturday.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

They don't need to rest players now, none of us do. Adrenaline and desire will keep them going until the end of the season.

They will 100% have to rest players like every other club would with their fixture list. I fully expect Sane and Fernandinho to start on the weekend.

It will be a good match. I expect City to backlash. After getting put out of the CL like that, then they will want to prove to themselves that they are top dogs.

However, the pressure is now put up a notch too. A few days ago it was all talk about the quadruple......now they are a draw away from a ****ty cup double attempt. That will ramp up the pressure.

I think the fact that it is an early kick off might work against them too. Their ****ty fans will still be asleep.

However, the fact that it is a Saturday game will give advantage to City. They will be able to make 5 or 6 changes and still be strong. Spurs won't. However, I think Walker and Mendy can be got at - and its possible that Spurs can hurt them.

We could really do with a dodgy referee decision going against City in the game. They could lose their heads then.

Also, I hope Mahrez starts........he's not all that!!!

they will want to make a statement but it could go either way. Spurs are decimated with injuries and considering they've spent **** all... they have done brilliant to be where they are this season. Sissoko is out now too, hopefully Winks makes it back but unlikely.

I think City will win but it will be a close game. Spurs can still do damage to City and I do think both teams will score but it will be nothing like last nights madness. We just need Spurs to get a draw that would be lovely.
