I don't think it's about who they play now, it's just the probabilities of eventually having an off day as well as the other team taking their chances. These two factors need to come together.

26 out of 28 PL seasons a points tally of 97pts would've won it. It's typical Liverpool that we've hit the heights when someone else is freakishly good.

FWIW, we **** on the other teams in the CL but if we win that it seems a tiny consolation in comparison.

14 times out of 26 our current points total would have been more than enough to win the Premier league and we still have 3 games left. 3 points from our remaining games would have been enough in 22 out of 26 PL seasons. If we were to get 97 points that has only been bettered twice not just in the PL era but in top flight English football league history. converting the 2pts for a win into the current 3pts system the only teams that have beat that are LFC 78-79 and last seasons City side.

Also for all the talk of punishing City there are a couple of things to consider (as it won't happen before the season is over) they don't necessarily hand the title over to the team who came second see what happened in Italy. We might have done better last year instead of resting players for the CL if we had known the league was still up for grabs. Also how would you feel if someone told us now our wait for a league title ended in 2013-14?

Think its wholly unfair to nitpick at any of our season and those draws are no different to any of the other 17 points we dropped this season if we win our last 3. Incredible season no matter how you look at it, You could say without those losses to Leicester/Newcastle/Palace cost them, The reality both teams have been amazing this year albeit one with the wealth of a sovereign nation behind them!

Juve were stripped of two titles, one left vacant, one was effectively handed to Inter. They were relegated and handed a 30 point deduction. They still pissed Serie B and have won every title since 2012. Even that hasn't really affected them.

I'd be happy if their titles were stripped. Honestly wouldn't be too fussed if they were handed to us, I'd just use it to wind up other fans but it wouldn't even register compared to winning it properly.

My point is that they need a punishment that they'll feel and a cast iron system to cleanse their finances so they can't wash oil money through the club to buy all the £50m players they want. European ban, 3 window transfer ban, massive fine coming off their books and not out of the owners wallet.

Imagine when their academy starts spitting out all the foetuses they've been hovering up from around the world. Imagine when the Aussie and Yank teams start sending players over for free to circumvent FFP again.

The cunts don't give two ****s about rules. If they aren't already doing it they'll be trying to buy refs and officials soon. The owners have always thought that everything they want is for sale and can be bought. City fans moan about a 'cartel' surrounding the biggest European clubs and no one is happy that City are breaking into it. They aren't just breaking in, they're doing a home invasion, stealing all the valuables and leaving a steaming turd on the Persian rug.

I’ll be really disappointed if we don’t win the PL. I don’t get this ‘been a great season’ stuff and I won’t be celebrating coming second. Having said that, wouldn’t be surprised at Burnley and/or Leicester taking points off City and we win the league.

We will all be disappointed. But you still need to take your hat off to the team. We've not been good enough to win the league this season but if we win our last 3 games, then we will be the 3rd best team in the history of the premier League. That is ****in sick that we don't get the trophy for that......but hats off to the team regardless.

Plus we still in the champions League too.

I totally subscribe to klopps way of thinking though. Let's win our games if we can and see where it leads us. Burnley are capable on their day. Leicester are capable on their day. And **** it, if Brighton needed to get something to stay up, then they are ****in capable too. You never know but let's leave everything on the pitch. How ****in sick would it be to slip up ourselves at Newcastle or wolves only to see city walk away with the league having also dropped points.

Also, if VAR was active this season, im ****in convinced that we'd be champions. Kompany and Maguire would have walked. And city have had a few offside goals too. We are one of the cleanest teams in the league so I'm convinced that will help us next year and beyond.

Added to the fact that we can still improve our squad (new attacking players, Naby settled and Oxlade back) and we are on the ****in up.

Plus I believe that if we don't win the league, then number 6 will be a few weeks later. How ****in bad.
