Definitely needs adjusting next year to maybe half a point or a point where he makes 3 saves plus clean sheet.

Mad Shaqiri was third in the table after half the season. Mane had no motds then either.

It's half a point now, his 20 clean sheets only get him an extra 10 points, if you take those away he'd be on 38, so would only drop down from 2nd to 3rd, so I don't think it skews things that much.

Its VVD and his marshalling of the defence (despite Lovren's best efforts) thats earning Becker his some of his csb's.

I'm not disputing that, I can see why it might be unfair if VVD lost out to Alisson due to clean sheet bonuses as VVD has played a big role in that too. But as I say Alisson's points total without that is still very impressive so it's clear that he has some work to do too and has put in some very impressive performances. We were talking in his thread how he's unlucky not to make team of the year himself.

Good debate. If you look at the table, it is true that Alisson has 6 Man of the match performances himself. Yes, the bonuses do give him extra points, but he has earned a lot as a player too. It may be time to discuss the bonus at the end of the season, perhaps drop it from 1/2 to 1/4 point per clean sheet?

Some may not like the idea of changing the rules to suit an agenda though.
