Lovern straight back into the team at CB at the expense of moving Gomez to RB????

Maybe Klopp wants more physicality in the team and figures we don't lose pace at RB with Gomez there but we gain strength.

Big call by Klopp, hope it pays off

Only plus point is that Moreno doesn't get on the bench ......

Gomez at RB worries me more than Lovren at CB.

                  3 at back?
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Lovren was brilliant towards the end of last season, and had an amazing World Cup.

I think this is more about TAA and giving him a break after a dodgy display on Tuesday.

The thing will be how does Gomez perform at Right Back?

Not a fan of that at all, Gomez with Van Dijk was maybe the best functioning unit we've had this season, now we're moving him to the right and bringing in Lovren who's played once this season? And that midfield three we were all convinced during the summer we'd never see again, and there it is... Let's hope Salah, Mane and Firmino have been saving themselves for today.

We had Clyne if we wanted to rest TAA. Granted Clyne has not had many minutes this season, but Lovern has had just as little playing time.

Clyne at RB with Gomez inside him sounds a lot more solid than Gomez being moved from the position he was excelling in, and Lovern being dropped into the centre of the back line.

They have such an attacking side but so open in the midfield. If only we had Ox for this, an attacking, driving midfielder to push through. Maybe Gini will have license to push. Gomez moving to rb and Lovren in I'm not sure about.. even if Trent has had a mare recently.

Agree with Jaco, surely Clyne ideal replacement?

Reckon this is because salah hasnt been getting back to help taa with defensive duties so a more defensive RB in gomez mght keep our right side solid without compromising any attacking threat from salah.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

LWB if that were the case, but the bigger question then would be who gets to play at RWB. Milner?

Don't think it is a back three though.
