More chance of us getting it than Huddersfield - in that sense Refs can be ‘corrupt’. I’m not saying it was a pen I’m just saying it was a dangerous scenario we we found ourselves in, and there were a few too many considering the opposition.

Not sure what’s going on with us at the moment, we seem to make lots of bad decisions in the final third but we’ve dropped 4 points from 27, and against city and Chelsea.

I guess we are winning without the excitement which after the last few months of last year does feel a bit ... boring.

I thought Shak was excellent. I think we are missing a playmaker.

Klopp has said that the focus on defending and shape has impacted our attacking fluidity. Saying that I thought yesterday we were not that good defending and were a bit lucky. We were poor in possession and Huddersfield caused us a few problems throughout the game. We still won though and if we played like that last year, we would have dropped points.
      Are we winning?

        We looked knackered.

What a signing mahrez would have been for us.

Yes mate. I mentioned it during the game. I thought we were playing poor and it suddenly clicked that we were actually knackered and explained most of the errors. Probabaly why Lallana started too.

Klopp also mentioned jet lag which might excuse Firmimos really bad decision making. All things considered, it was a great result.

I love that we're this great defensively, Gomez is turning out to be ****in amazing and everyone else is close really, if not as good. And I think Fabinho will soon add to that. What we're lacking right now is goals, City have also conceded three, but they've scored 10 more! We have amazing attacking players but right now it's not really clicking, if that doesn't change till new year's I think we should go after another top forward.

Have to agree he would have been good, but at that price I would have preferred Fekir

I’m sure he would have given that midfield the drive and invention we seem to be missing

Results have been great but performances less so

Its hard to be too picky whilst the results are rolling in

Cant really put my finger on it but there is certainly a disconnect between the midfield and the forward line and to me it seems as though we arent pressing as much

The Huddersfield match was the second match I watched on Saturday, as I also attended Marine V Salford which was a total and utter **** show

Yeah I think that is something we need to take into account.

We were very average at the start of last season and the latter two/thirds of the season has kind of glossed over that start.

This season our on pitch form has been similarish, but we have been managing to pick up points whilst we find our collective feet

16 goals conceded last season against three is a massive swing. What a transformation.

9 of those 16 were against City (down to 10) and Spurs (an abomination), which muddies the water a bit tho. Still, it's a definite improvement, so now we need to start scoring more fluidly, finding the final ball rather than fluffing it, and hitting the target rather than skying it. It'll come.

Massive, we've scored more, conceded less and have 10 points more.

Our first 9 games last season:

                                Watford A 3-3
                                Palace H 1-0
                                Arsenal H 4-0
                                M. City A 0-5
                                Burnley H 1-1
                                Leicester A 3-2
                                Newcastle A 1-1
                                M. United H 0-0
                                Tottenham A 1-4

                                This season:

                                West Ham H 4-0
                                Palace A 2-0
                                Brighton H 1-0
                                Leicester A 2-1
                                Tottenham A 2-1
                                Southampton H 3-0
                                Chelsea A 1-1
                                M. City H 0-0
                                Huddersfield A 1-0

We had a difficult start last season as well, but this is so different, of those three goals, they came against Spurs, and Chelsea plus that gift against Leicester.
