Love him already. Klopp needs to build him up for another year at least and then unleash the Dam!

Imagine having a dyke and a dam in our defence.
    One tit for another.

He clearly has game intelligence, and once he calmed down, he grew into the game more. A couple of years working on his physique, and there's a player in there for sure.
fair assessment. Done well, composed and is lovely on the ball but would struggle with the physicality, got outmuscled a few times alright. Definitely a prospect but nowhere near ready yet. Fair play to the kid though.

Very few kids are physically strong enough at 16 (Rooney is probably one of the few exceptions)

In 12-18 months time he will be physically stronger just in terms of him growing

Hopefully we wouldn’t leak too many goals

Signed a new contract a deserves a song

'Hoever, he came from AZ Alkmaar' to the tune of Cuba by The Gibson Brothers would make a proper powerful song well suited to a Dutch player. Needs a bit more work on the lyrical front obviously

I like how they took that pic of him in the mean streets of Anfield.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Liverpool youngster Ki-Jana Hoever is considering whether a loan move would be best for him this season, with the Dutchman weighing up his own appearance targets.

Hoever played three times for the Reds’ first team last season, adding to his sole outing in 2018/19, as he remained part of Jurgen Klopp‘s senior squad.

The 18-year-old trained regularly at Melwood, but only featured in a matchday squad eight times, including once in the Premier League—that being the 3-0 loss to Watford.

He is seen as one of the most exciting prospects in the Liverpool squad, but his pathway to the first team remains unclear due to competition elsewhere.

In an AMA with Bleacher Report on Thursday, Hoever was asked whether he thought a loan move to the Championship would benefit him, or if he would profit more from staying at Anfield and likely playing fewer games.

“It’s important that I play games on the highest level possible,” he explained.

“It’s hard to balance a few games at the highest level or a lot of games at a lower level.

“I have to figure out what’s best for me and the right answer will present itself.”

He later added: “I know I’m ready to play men’s football. No more youth anymore. I’d like to do the big work now.

“If I go on loan, [I would like to play] 30 games. If I stay at Liverpool, maybe more like 10 games.”

Hoever is unlikely to be short of suitors if he is made available for loan, and with the deadline for transfers from the Premier League to the clubs in the Championship and below extended to October 15, there is plenty of time to make a decision.

Interestingly, however, the teenager was also asked his best position, and claimed he is most comfortable at right-back, believing he won’t be at his best at centre-back until he is 25.

“I see myself as a right-back at the moment. I’m a right-back that can play centre-back,” he said.

“I’m not physically ready to play centre-back for a whole season. Maybe when I’m 25 I might be ready, but as a right-back I like the attacking aspect.

“I have a vision in my game like Trent, where I can put people away. I think I can be somebody who sets up and assists other players.”

That, of course, presents a problem for Hoever, with Neco Williams leapfrogging him in the right-back pecking order during his time away at the Under-17 World Cup, and now the Welshman is settled as Trent Alexander-Arnold‘s backup.

It could be, therefore, that a loan switch is the best option for Liverpool’s No. 51, but it is unlikely one will develop just yet.

If he's seeing himself as a RB the reality is that he's 3rd choice behind TAA and Williams, so a loan move seems like the right option for him IMO.

Ironically I think he's more likely to get games here at CB. As when it comes to cup ties presumably we are resting TAA and playing Neco Williams at RB, and resting VVD and whoever out of Gomez and Matip is playing regularly in the league, meaning the cup side will likely be the other of Gomez or Matip plus either Hoever or van den Berg.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I think a loan is probably the right move for him at this stage. He's in danger of stagnating otherwise and he needs games.

He is dead right, he needs mens football now.
A couple of loans and then he may be ready for a return.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

From what I have seen of him I think he has more potential than Neco. KJH is superb on the ball
