We can have them at their place, a score draw will do us and they're bound to attack more there. Given what we were missing at the back not conceding is alright.

Not too bad. They totally changed the way they play for us and defended well second half. Hopefully we make them regret not going for it v our 10th choice defence. Fabinho is god though so may not have made much difference if they did go for it.
Ref was good apart from a few nothing incidents really, Hendo booking looked harsh but no harm done and their time wasting was extremely annoying.
Kimmich out is good, Rafinha is woeful.

Love the manager and no issue with the players. Loving being near the top challenging.
But we are a pale shadow of ourselves going forwards. All season we haven't clicked properly. We've ground out results but no one is convincing me we are a great attacking team. We have no plan, it's all off the cuff. No flow. I think the front 3 have been over played. With no decent options they start every game. It's mental.

And he was crowded out by world class defenders. Jeez, tough crowd. We played well against a quality side who also played well and we effectively cancelled each other out, especially in the second half.Originally posted by McDermotX View PostUnbelievable. Simple ball from Mane all that's required.
0-0 and set up for a counter-attacking set up second leg. Fair enough. Played more than well enough to win against Utd, which is the biggest game this week. And no real injury worries from the 90 mins.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

No Virgil, make shift cbs, Gini way off, Keita sloppy, two fullbacks dreadful, didn't concede and hardly broke a sweat 2nd half vs Bayern... I 'll take it.
When we pushed them they looked rocky as **** but we just decided to not bother in 2nd half. Approach play great, end product like all season ****e.Last edited by danperkins; 19-02-19, 11:00 PM.

I’m not too disappointed, we should have won but we didn’t concede. People were writing Bayern off as of journey men before the game. They are still a very good side and if you were picking a combined side you’d probably have 6 of theirs in the team!
With VVD being back it’s massive for the next leg, no Kimmich for them either meaning Mane will have Rafinha on toast. They have to come at us and Fab in midfield will also help.
The one negative for me is the continued poor form of Robbo - he’s not been his usual brilliant self. He is a slight worry vs United who may target him.
On to Old Toilet we go.Last edited by Irishnev; 19-02-19, 11:02 PM.

If we can keep going in both comps for the rest of the season then we should have the legs on teams.Modifying post.

I'm less than positive when we fail to make our superiority count against the likes of West Ham etc, but playing top sides in the CL, it's all about the result at the end of the group, or second leg, or final. Not as if we struggled to create chances against Ogbonna and Cresswell tonight.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post
