Does feel like the type of game Fekir was (almost) bought for. Ability to play in tight spaces and pick out perfectly weighted 5-10 yard passes. Gini is an excellent player, but lacks that little bit of genius in seeing those spaces in the penalty box.

I thought Naby was excellent, Gini tried hard but things didn’t come off for him and the full backs were def poor on the ball but not dreadful

Some some good defensive work but just way too casual on the ball and np composure in front of goal. Thought he was meh. We desperately miss someone with creativity and drill in that midfield, thought hendo was excellent tho.

Be interesting to see Mo Salah next season.

Last season he was pure gold.

This season he's looked pretty average in general play and his touch and decision making poor a lot but he's still scored a lot of goals. More average games than good.

Will next be more like first or is this his real level. Ie very good player but not in the Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe bracket.

The one negative for me is the continued poor form of Robbo - he’s not been his usual brilliant self. He is a slight worry vs United who may target him.

He got roasted twice in one on ones and didn’t provide usual assist... but. A couple of times if the ball is played into his stride he would have delivered, balls went behind him meaning he has to break stride or he wasn’t played in at all. He’s put in a few 6’s and 7’s when we are used to 9’s and 10’s.

Does look a different player this season, hesitant and a bit more predictable this season. Still quality although had a stinker tonight.

There's no way out fullbacks will be that bad again, dreadful they were. Robbo poor patch, Trent rusty, Gini rusty, Fab back in mid, Virgil back and Bobby not sick . Lot of positives for 2nd leg.

My concern with this game was the seeming lack of a goal threat, which seems to becoming a more common thing in our games recently, which is worrying.

Result isn't terrible if you aren't going to win a 0-0 at home is the next best result

nobody breaking out from midfield to support frontline... becoming a real annoyance. Lots of work rate, not much quality.

I did say not his usual BRILLIANT self but he has been off for a few games - he became a father again recently right?
