There is that, but this doesn't feel to me like a team that's reaching the end of the line. Hope not anyway!Originally posted by topscorer View PostI think the last three times we've been in a title race and finished 2nd we've gone off the rails the following season.
I'm going to be hugely disappointed and miserable if we don't get over the line this season.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

We're only one point behind so it's obviously not over. But more worryingly our form is as patchy as **** as some selections are far too conservative.
There's no cutting it any other way, massive swing to City today but to be fair, they've been favorites for months.

Yup. Everytime we play after City, we seem to drop points. Just can't handle the pressure.Originally posted by Maxiedge View PostThe pressure has got to us recently. We’re much better than this. Being second now could take the weight off and work for us.Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

People won't like me saying this but you really have to question Klopp's in game management at times. There's been several occasions where he's made substitutions that have left me flabbergasted. Forget the fact that he went with the same workman like midfield that didn't work against man Utd. But in a game which was crying out for creativity from midfield, he brings on Milner (a player he said wasn't 100% fit anyway) for Wijnaldum instead of Keita. It was too like for like when what we needed was someone who could provide penetration. Milner had no impact whatsoever. Several minutes later Klopp makes another baffling substitution and decides to take off Mane for Lallana when Shaqiri would have been the better option imo. Today was just a very poor day all round. Still all to play for but now it's City's to lose. I'm so frustrated.

Totally agree. It understandably seems negative of me to say we aren't good enough to win it, but truth he told, we shouldn't expect to and second and a close finish would be a pretty incredible improvement and achievement.Originally posted by Venton View PostHave to say that the last few games has shown we're not quite there yet for winning the title. That's not to say we can't of course but it's more likely that City will. Maybe being the chasers will loosen us up a bit though.
Even if we don't, we finished 20 odd points off top last season. So far this has been a massive, massive improvement and we're heading in the right direction.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

was very frustrating subs alright. My only gripe with Klopp in general.
