I'm at the stage now where I think just play it behind closed doors, win the thing before everything goes to the ****ter! We can have a proper parade in the summer

I think behind closed doors is the most realistic outcome.

But as said once players start getting it, things may escalate to being cancelled. 30yo elite althetes will be fine though which is why continuing is even an option.

That's the thing also though - 30yr old elite athletes might not be at risk of dying, but who's to say they won't have impaired lung function moving forward? Nobody can realistically say anyone will be 'fine', especially since there's consensus that you can catch this thing several times, with further infections doing more damage than the last.

Ive seen peoples accounts of it saying they just had a headache and the usual body aches you get with a flu.

Tom Hanks basically said the same. Just felt a bit ****ty, but thats it.
