Gomez was phenomenal before his injury, I was surprised Matip kept him out but he's well and truly back now. Feel for Matip, any other team he'd be an automatic selection, but he'll be back to bench now I think.

Our midfield is so underrated, in the last year they have bossed the likes of PSG, Barca, Bayern, Chelsea, City, Spurs.

It's just not possible to do that to the calibre of the central midfield opponents those sides have without being of the highest quality.

It's where we've improved the most over the last calendar year. First it was the front three, then defence and keeper, and now midfield. And best of all, it's not about personnel (maybe VvD aside ), every time there's been a change in the team (Adrian, Lovren, Gomez, Ox, Keita, Origi...) we've still been brilliant. And I think we can still improve
